Wanted to replace camera at my front door. Hard to see corners. Now with this camera I can tilt it to see all corners. App easy to download. Experiencing small issue with app but I believe is due to my error. Am calling CS tomorrow to try and resolve. Connection to my POE very easy.

unit works but is very tempermental, and seems to have a mind of it's own, would occassionally have to pan or tilt it back to location I set it at!!

We have an ONWOTE HD NVR and wanted to save some money, so we picked up this 20x camera. We are NOT connected to a router nor Internet, completely an isolated unit, as we like it! It was nearly a nightmare trying to make the camera work; without using all the fancy software we refuse to install. After the company responded to our question that the unit needs approx. 48V and 25W, we realized we met the minimum requirements. Outside of being a bad unit, it should work already!Solution?Since the Camera came with a Default IP (192.168.1.110) and since our NVR assigns IP addresses based on the port numbers, we had to make two changes to the NVR to make this work.1. Changed the NVR's internal camera network address to 192.168.1.x (to match the default network address of this 20x camera).2. Plugged camera into port 10 (moved what was there to port 9). This freed up the 110 IP address (for its default address assigned from the factory).Now it works like a champ, great quality, great response and we saved a ton of dollars by 'dealing' with this item.Recommended - but only if you fully understand the requirements and the camera defaults in making it work. it may be easier for others who don't mind their lives connected to the world, but we do not so we hope this review helps others who share our views and camera / NVR needs.Problems:- No audio can be enabled, period.- No Motion Detection being recorded on NVR- Cruise mode will NOT work, it just sits in Park* Note: native Onwote cameras do not have these issues (yes we are using an onwote nvr). HTH.

Goes on and off constantly

The camera is great. I do wish it had WiFi. I bought it by mistake, but will use it where i can plug it into an Ethernet port. The wifi version however didn't have a non admin user (i confirmed this with support). The interface is fine, but i use it as an ONVIF camera and don't need the web interface or app. It works fine with IPCam Viewer or other ONVIF capable apps. The camera is on port 8080 and the RTSP is port 554. The only thing i wish it had was a dome to obscure where it was looking at. Mounting it was very easy. Unlike some cameras, this one had a separate plate that you could mount first and the screw the base/arm to that. Then you can run the cameras wiring and the camera up to the mounting arm. Unfortunately, i couldn't use that since it was replacing a camera that wasn't working and the hole didn't line up on the siding base that i had. Still, a decent camera.

If using any thing longer than original power supply make sure it’s a good poe switch... the power supply is not the best once IR turns on after a 50ft run
