Exactly what i was looking for. Being an indian staying in states,i really dont like the rice over here it doesnt really go with the curry u make. Rice quality is excellent but its too pricey for what u get

I was never a big fan of rice. I wasn’t raised with it and I suppose I just never acquired a taste for it. A few years ago I married a man from Ghana. Rice has since become a staple in my kitchen. This rice has made me a believer! The bite, the consistency, the flavor, all top notch! I found this when trying to stock up during the pandemic and I won’t buy anything else!

This is a really healthy rice. My only issue is that if we go to the store to buy this rice the 20lbs rice is only 25 (depending on the time of the year price changes a lot, but has never been more then 25) and the price in Amazon is double the price from store. I wonder why the price is so expensive.

I am a south Indian living in the US and I have used several different brands of Boiled Ponni Rice throughout my life (Have eaten it almost every day for the past 27 years). I decided to buy this one because I liked the ease of being able to order rice online rather than going to the Indian store which is an hour away.I was very happy with the speed of the delivery and the rice itself looked great and smelled normal while it was raw but once I started cooking it, I immediately began regretting my decision. It smelled so putrid (almost like poop even) while cooking that I couldn't even bear to stand inside the kitchen. The smell subsided a bit after it was cooked. So, I took a risk and tried to eat it just to check how it tasted. I would say that it tasted pretty normal but it still smelled fowl. Therefore, considering my wellbeing, I am not going to eat it anymore.As a lifelong Ponni rice-eater, I am very sure that it is not supposed to smell this way if it's a good product!

Too expensive for 10lbs

Best rice I ever had and cooks faster than the ones you get at the store.

The rice quality is very nice. I was skeptical to buy rice online at first but i am glad i did. Excellent choice.
