Reverie 5D Adjustable Bed Base, Wireless, HD Massage, Wall Hugger, Zero Gravity, Split King

Both of us have digestive issues, and I suffer from a vehicle-related back injury. We looked locally and found a few vendors who sold similar models for $900 more up to $2,000 more than what this lists for. After some research, we came to find that most of them were the same exact mechanics as this bed with different remotes or an led strip underneath.All local sellers had a no-questions-asked 0-day return policy, and all wanted some fee for delivery. All had the same warranty as this Reverie frame.Easy choice.. we ordered on Amazon. Delivery said 3-4 weeks, but we received the frame within 1 week. On this note, do yourself the favor and pay the $99 for white glove service. I didn't pay attention when ordering, and basically met up with a delivery person who left a pallet on my front porch and told me to have a nice day. These are heavy, and are not easy to get up a narrow flight of stairs when you're already in pain.As far as the bed goes, it operates relatively quietly and at a decent pace. We're currently synced to be 1 remote (haven't had the guts to cut our king memory foam mattress in half yet) and the sides travel together without noticeable lag.The pre-set Zero G feature works great for us, and the massage feature was an excellent added bonus. Note: our bedrooms are upstairs, and while the sound doesn't travel much upstairs, the entire downstairs reverbs like crazy! It doesn't matter for us since all bedrooms are upstairs, but it's worth noting if you're in an upstairs apartment or other similar situation.Having the bed elevated in the Zero G has truly helped. I wake up without back pain (unless I sleep on my side) and without stomach issues for the first time in years.It's worth mentioning that, if you're a tosser, it might take some adjustment. Zero G is great if you lie on your back, not so much on your side.This is a lot of money to drop on a bed frame, but for us it was worth it. We chose this bed because it was made by a higher quality company than comparatively priced alternatives on Amazon. We made a mistake. To start with, the shipping company here, PSO, was AWFUL. We had a specific window of time scheduled and we waited all day for them to get there. I had missed a call the day before and didn't catch it, so I called them back and they acted like that time slot wasn't available and that they don't deliver to my area. THEN, they only dropped off ONE of the split king pieces (it should have been TWO twin XLs). When we told them that wasn't correct they argued with us and told us that both were in that one box. Nope! When I called later to talk to a manager, she told me that it was the previous shipping company's fault. I was like, "well, you signed off on the papers showing that it was one piece out of a 2-carton shipment". She wasn't happy about that but assured me it would be fixed and that the second piece was on its way. We were not contacted by any other shipping companies or by the first one, again.We had to wait a week before Amazon could schedule pick up to get it out of here and during that time we figured, "why not?" and took it out to see what we thought of it.- The mechanisms on the bottom are exposed to the point that we were very worried about our cats getting stuck on or in parts of it.- It is NOT a wall hugging model. Wall hugging models scoot back towards the head as the head is raised, making it so that you can more easily access your nightstand, etc. This did not move in that direction at all.- It seemed cheap and the photos on the manual did not match the actual bed.- We had read from some of the reviews that people received a different model than the 5D they purchased. Our manual didn't have a model number on it.- It's lacking in some features that cheaper companies offer.- It was way too low to the ground, far shorter than the replacement we ordered.Amazon was really great about the return process and experience, but that shipping company and the product quality really leave this still a sour experience.I think the photos we took are on my husband's phone because I can't find them.The replacement we ordered can be found here and we recommend it instead:  Classic Brands Adjustable Comfort Posture+

This adjustable bed frame is awesome for the current price (30% less than other retailers on Amazon). HOWEVER, another reviewer made mention of model discrepancies on what he received...Worth the risk! Amazon actually sent the Reverie 4M, not the 5D. I have spoken to Reverie support at length and the only difference is a thinner side profile, the unfortunate lack of wall hugging (due to different frame), and a different part number / design for the headboard bracket (which is not included, sold separately). Except for those differences, the motors, remote control, features, accessories, and warranty are the same.Anazon is always top at customer service and offered us a discount due to this issue, and we took it since the final cost outweighs gambling for 5D replacement... Not to mention the turn around time and re-packing efforts for doing such.I subtracted 1 star for the model discrepancy, but the price is still a steal. Even though we were excited about wall hugging, it wasn't worth 2x to 3x the price if we returned and went with a different seller.I will also add, we spoke to Reverie support before and after the purchase and they are fantastic. The call center is in Michigan, they are friendly, and overly helpful.
