Too pricy!
Great food but very expensive at Amazon! Look at your local farmstore and save $10.00 per 10 pound bag today! There's no reason to pay that much.

Great, natural, affordable food.
Switched over to Diamond originally for our German Shepherd puppy. We had him on Blue Buffalo but the food was too rich and he always had runny #2's. He also had a lot of dandruff which we think may have been caused by a chicken allergy, which is very common. Since he did so well on it we decided to switch our cat over because it was very affordable. Our Bengal does not eat a lot so we keep the food in a sealed storage container. It keeps the food very fresh and for much longer, so if you have picky pets, ask yourself if you would eat stale month old food that has been sitting out lol. There are always people complaining about their dogs or cats having diarrhea. I really feel like people need to be more educated on how to switch to a new food as well as the time involved.1) Every animal just like every person is different and some animals could eat a different brand and flavor every day and never have an upset stomach. Some do better with a changing, varied diet while others are better off with the same food and no interruptions. Age, breed, temperament, environment, and pretty much everything else you could think of all play a part.2) Switching to a new food varies but it is usually suggested that the slower you acclimate them the better. Assuming I did not wait until the last minute and have planned for the change I will start by replacing 10% of the old food with the new food (rough estimate, I am not counting kibble) and then every day I will replace another 10%. Total acclimation of about 10 days, it's really not that hard so stop being lazy. If I notice my pet is not adjusting well or has an upset stomach I will generally go back to the previous day's mixture, when they were feeling well.3) Even if you slowly acclimate them to a new food it can take a couple weeks for their stomachs to get back to normal. This is especially true with younger animals. I see people giving good foods 1 star reviews because their 10 week old puppy had diarrhea for a week...get real. Before you get the pitchforks out I am not saying that everyone should just ignore their pet that's having some stomach problems for four weeks. I am just saying I think there are a lot of nut-job pet owner's out there that claim a food is poison because their dog didn't do well on it. It takes time to adjust even if you do it right. In some cases it just doesn't work out, like my German Shepherd on Blue Buffalo. They have great quality food and I would still recommend them to people but for the couple puppies I have had on it, it seemed to be a little too rich/pure. They did better with the natural foods that had a little more filler like Diamond.

Great Support for a Growing GSD Puppy
Anyone that has ever had a GSD knows how hard it is to get weight on them while they are growing, especially if they are really active. It's not uncommon for them to look like they are starving even when they eat the entire house (Ribs showing type scenario). After lots of research and pricing, I settled on Diamond Natural Large Puppy. My GSD pup was around 4 months old and pretty underweight when I rescued her. She had been really sick with a parasite, on top of that, so we had some real work to do to get her healthy. I increased her food amount nearly a cup and a half a day over the recommended serving size for her age for about a month and she gained nicely! Once she was no longer showing ribs, I brought her back down to the recommended amount and have stuck to it since. She has nearly doubled in size in less than 2 months, 30 lbs to now 54 lbs, and I have been able to keep her at a good body ratio the whole time! Ultimately, she is an absolute beast at 7 months old and is stronger than any GSD I've had (Even as a pup). She eats this food like she is dying, so I rated the flavor as 5 stars. It is average price for large breed puppy food, but I buy the largest bag they sell and it lasts about a month. I'd rate the value as a 3.5 ish and I will keep buying it until she graduates to adult food based on the amazing results I've see in her so far.Side Note - 1st Vet Appt was a few days ago and our vet she is in impeccable physical condition - Muscle mass, Fur, Teeth etc, so to keep up what we're doing! I do add olive oil to her food each night (Just a few tablespoons) and this helps with the skin and coat too!

Awesome food for itching
Yeah, very good dog food my dogs love it, which is good and I’m waiting for the itching to stop because they’re allergic to chicken which they were eating chicken a year and a half year and a half. They’ve been scratching the doctor gave him all kinds of meds, but never told me to change his food that they might be allergic to chicken good go veterinarian

Healthy dog food
I have two girls from the same litter, AmStaff/French Mastiff's. They have been on Diamond Naturals Large Breed for 4 years, so I can say with some authority that this is a great food.I have worked in pet stores in the past and found that it was common for AmStaff breeds to have allergies to certain ingredients, usually the fillers in cheaper foods. This is not to say that every one of them has these allergies, it was just a common theme I came across. Diamond Naturals doesn'thave those fillers. Your dog can eat the correct amount of food and be satisfied without constantly begging for more. My girls have healthy coats, teeth and no allergies to this food. Also, if you have a dog that weighs over 50lbs, I would always suggest to get the Large Breed food. These have more Glucosamine and Chondroitin and will help those large breed dogs have a longer happier life.Personally, I like the price point on Diamond Naturals compared to similar foods. It's a healthy food without breaking the bank for two large girls, 86lbs and 73lbs.Hope this helps
