Wow!! These work AWESOME! THIS is my HONEST 100% no BS review. I was skeptical as I always am but figured I could return them if I had any issues. Wow, was I happy these were as nice as I'd hoped. 1st. The mounting is very easy. Either drive a tack or nail into the wood, metal etc and simply hang it, or use double sided 3m adhesive or whatnot if you're looking for a somewhat more permanent solution. I have night vision cams on my garage and my home on every side but sometimes they're just too dark to make out actual details like a face etc so I mounted these on the same side as my cams so the light when triggered won't out up a huge hot spot on my video motion recording but light up whatever is triggering it and these definitely did the trick. On the motion sensing topic they're GREAT! they don't go off from the wind in my case as I don't have bushes in the oath of the sensor (common sense) so this way windy blown bushes won't trigger them but I do know now that I have a skunk visiting my back yard at night but it hasn't sorayed or anything and it's gone in the day so I leave it alone. It also picked up a frequent cat who's been visiting also and it's all very well litup by the motion lights which then trigger my cameras and I get a very bright lit up video of who/what is going on. They're actually pretty rugged and much heavier duty than I'd hoped so that was very welcome. As far as charging the sun is direct.on all 4 of them for at least 4 hours a day and more depending on which light it is. I don't use the always on option or the half on and brighter when motion is sensed because my porch light lights my yard enough to deter people, these just kick on when motion is detected and they're nice and bright and a week in I have zero issues with them coming on at all. I can walk out My backdoor and over to the garbage cans which are in an area very Central in the yard and the way my lights are positioned all four of them will go off if I'm standing right in the middle of the yard or if I walk to the left or right abbe Center each one will go off at cordingly within about 10 feet of the light which is excellent, they have a very good range on them so no one can come into my backyard whatsoever without setting off at least one of them and probably two of them the way I have them positioned than my video camera kicks on because the lights set it off and it will record what's going on and notify my phone via text message instantly with a video clip. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended and will definitely buy thm again if these ever wear out overtime :-)

Purchased 12/2023 Reviewed 2/2024 -- Preliminary observations: I got these to light up the front of my house. I (unfortunately) had someone attempt to break in, yes I called police & they were arrested. So, I needed to improve on the lighting around the house, I was looking for some solar options for locations without a wired outlet, these were what I chose. Right now I actually have them temporarily strapped to some fence posts with zip ties. They are working great & will be securely attached soon.What I like is how they are able to pick up movement, even at the side of them, so they lite up right away. The area in the front of my house, front window, front door & front yard is now lighted so you can safely see to walk - and hopefully scare someone from approaching who is up to no good. They catch even slight movement - I have some fountain grass & when they sway due to wind, yes the lights come on, but I am not bothered by that now that I know why the light is on. They stay on as long as movement is going on & then light up again if movement resumed that was paused. Lately it has been very cloudy during the day, but these lights are still getting charged enough to work. I just feel much better now that I have more light at night to rely on. They blast out a lot of light.

INITIAL REVIEW:I bought a 4-pak after reading all the glowing reviews from people who “received these promotional items for unbiased reviews” (yeah, sure). I tested them by leaving them in full sunshine for an entire day and turning them on with the supplied pin. I tested these in my darkened basement. To aid in testing, I numbered each individual unit as 1 through 4. Right away, #1 and #2 were the standout students, detecting motion flawlessly and stayed lit for 30 secs each occasion. #3 appeared to be DOA (unresponsive with the pin poke). #4 detected motion but only stayed lit for 5 seconds before going dark. After an hour, I decided to perform the test again. #1 worked well every other time. #2 decided to quit working altogether. #3 that was DOA before, all of a sudden came to life, detecting motion but stayed lit for 60 sec each time. #4 only detected motion if I was 12 inches away from it and only stayed lit for 5 seconds. My conclusion: these lights are total garbage and buying them is like rolling dice. Don’t do it. I’m returning them to Amazon. What a waste of my time!!!UPDATE 6/1/2016:I have to give credit where credit is due to Coco-Vision. After my initial negative review, Coco-Vision proactively sought me out and offered to send me a whole new 4-pack of these lights, guaranteed to work. I received the replacement lights promptly and proceeded to test them the same way I did with my original lights. This time around, all 4 lights worked perfectly. Each one sensed motion at about 10ft away and stayed lit for approximately 30 sec … over and over. They passed my test with flying colors and are mounted around my house right now. So I have adjusted my rating from 1 star to 5 star … with a caveat. The caveat is that these replacement lights were hand-picked for me by Coco-Vision. So, I recommend that you buy these lights but do test them rigorously and contact Coco-Vision if there’s any problem. Coco-Vision seems to be a legitimate company who is aware of its online reputation here at Amazon and are responsive to the customers.

I’m really happy with these lights after two years of harsh winter weather in northern Alberta. Every one of them is still bright and responsive and reliable. There is nothing negative about them at all.
