I really, REALLY hope they'll lower the price of these chips! I've picked out the darker chips out of chip bags since I was a kid. My son told me about these and I finally caved and bought a 4 pack. As a longtime lover of dark potato chips, these completely satisfy me. Yes, at $7.00 a bag they are expensive, but what the heck, I've waited 71 years for someone to come up with the perfect recipe. Thanks, folk, for your attention to every detail: freshness, the right amount of salt, and oh that burnt flavor!

BEST CHIPS BY FAR!

If you always search out the extra dark chips in a bag of Lay's, you'll love these. Only reason to not give a 5 is lots of small broken chips and pricey. The Utz dark gourmet brand is a bit better because they are kettle cooked but cost even more.

I have bought chips from other companies thru Amazon before, so I know they can arrive intact. These did not. I purchased 2 orders, for me and a friend. Both arrived with all crushed chips. So, disappointed and embarrassment. Also, the real price is printed on the bags ($3.99).. so, for transparency, it would be better to indicate that the company is charging $10 for shipping, rather than delude the customer that they are purchasing a specialty product worthy of a higher price tag. The "dark" flavor was close to burnt flavor to me. Lastly, I first sent these comments to the supplier weeks ago, and received no response.
