Best Harness for Strong, Energetic Dogs!
Honestly, this is the best harness I’ve used! We have a hyper German Shepherd who gets easily distracted by every “squirrel” moment, and this harness has made a huge difference in control and handling. The heavy-duty design is durable yet comfortable, and the no-pull feature helps manage those sudden bursts of energy. The top handle is a great addition for extra control when needed. Highly recommended for large, strong dogs!

Great durability. Adjustable for larger dogs with good strap control.
The harness size is great for larger dogs. I have an abnormally tall chested German Shephard. His last harness rubbed his "armpits", but this one allows you to elongate the underside for form-fitting. The durability and make has the feel of an Army plate carrier. Pretty sure this thing would still have plenty of room to adjust if we completely stopped the walks and just fed the dude twinkies.

Very good harness, but NOT escape proof; ran large for us
We looked at the size guide and thought we should be ordering a Large for our 55 lb pure muscle Cattle Dog, but when it arrived it was clear that it was WAYYY too big. So we exchanged for a size Medium instead. The medium was still on the large side, but we were able to adjust the straps to fit her.I find that the belly straps seem to loosen on their own. Every 2 or 3 times our dog wore the harness, I would notice that it was getting loose again, so now I adjust the harness when I take it off so it doesn't get too loose. The neck straps seem to stay tight.Like most harnesses, if the dog figures out that they can back up against the leash, they can scoot out of the harness. If it is properly tightened that is not as easy to do, but if the belly straps are at all loose, it's a fairly simple process for a determined dog to slip out. To combat this, we do our best to not let our dog get in a position where she can back up with the leash taut. We keep her ahead of us, and if she starts to back up we give some slack on the leash and then get behind her so she's not backing up against the leash. She figured out pretty quickly that it's not worth the effort, and doesn't really try any more. All that considered, though, the harness is lovely. It is substantial and sturdy. It is fully adjustable. You can dismantle the harness altogether and fasten it onto your dog, or you can leave the neck opening connected and slip it over their neck then fasten the belly section. The fasteners are foolproof - you cannot accidentally fasten a neck fastener to a belly fastener, because they are different size and different material. So it's quick and straightforward to put on, even when your dog is super excited to be going on a walk and their entire body is wagging. The neck fasteners appear to be metal, so they are solid. The belly fasteners are plastic, but they appear quite sturdy. There are metal leash connectors on the belly (great for fastening to a seat belt leash for car rides), and on the back (for regular walks). And there is a fabric handle on the back in case you want to hold your dog in position for a moment on a walk. All these appear sturdy (even after frequent use over a few months). We have not used the Velcro or loops yet, but they appear substantial, and are well positioned for labels (service dog, dog in training, name, etc.) or for backpack-style attachments. Just keep in mind that any pack you add to your harness will add weight to your dog and will affect the balance, so you'll need to give your dog some time to grow accustomed to the new feeling.

First impression is a good one
For reference my boys a pit bull/boxer mix so he’s a little taller, last I weighed him he was right around 80-90lbs, I don’t remember the exact number. He’s in overall good shape, I wouldn’t call him chubby nor skinny and his breed tends to be bulky around the upper body with the boxers longer legs.I went with a size L as I’ve ordered a M with a different brand and that one was far too tight. The L seemed slightly loose as I found myself readjusting the vest following a pull of the leash. Maybe different companies offer different sizing and the M would have fit him perfect with this brand but overall I’m not trippin over the little wiggle room as the vest does what it’s meant to do.The choker collar is my fail safe, I’ve had it since he was a puppy and he’s now 6years. It’s not the type that chokes endlessly as the ring stops the collar from tightening around his neck too much. If you own or have owned pits you’ll know they are quite powerful, my guys great around other dogs, kids even cats but for some reason he does not like squirrels or skateboards. That’s my dog though so I’m rockin with him till the end, if he don’t like them then neither do I.I’ve never lost control of him but he tends to lunge forward enough that anything around his neck will end up acting as a choker.I’ve looked for alternatives but he’s broken a few other vests so I was skeptical of this one. I will always keep his choker collar as a fail safe but I was happy to see this vest actually held up to one of his many failed attempts to chase his archenemies.Which is why I don’t mind the slightly loose fit, he seemed very comfortable and the collar did not come into use at all. It’s not loose enough to move around freely during a normal walk, it just needs a slight adjustment after a pull, no big deal. Strongly recommend if you find yourself in the same boat.

Great Quality
This harness runs a little on the bigger side. Got a large for my American bully lab. A medium would fit best. The harness itself tho, is durable. Great quality. And my dog actually likes wearing it.Edit: I liked it so much I bought a second one! I love these harnesses. My dogs are pullers. And they stayed with me while walking.
