I bought this for a window storage seat that I made for my house, and it has certainly met my expectations. This is a great product, robust and easy to install. It comes with a template to allow for a perfect fit. I had tried a few other less expensive options none of which worked successfully, the slow close worked until it got to around 30 degrees then the lid slammed shut. The Douper keeps a consistent speed all the way till close. The hinges are expensive but you do get what you pay for.

The media could not be loaded. Product worked a treat on our toy box, however the packaging was missing instructions. Thankfully I found instructions online from another brands that sells the same unit. Images attached in case anyone needs them!

I purchased a pair of these to support the lid of an old wooden toy-box (it was my daughter's and destined for her new arrival).Fitting is easy using the included template.One of these was sufficient to support the weight of the lid (over 2.5Kg) & provide gentle closing, minimising the risk to little fingers.A great & good value product!

The media could not be loaded. Really happy with the soft closing mechanisms. There are well made, very easy to fit and work a treat. These lids in our kitchen were lethal before, such a difference. They are guaranteed for 2 years so I am pretty confident they will stand the rest of time.

Its great to stop the lid slamming from fully open, but slams the last 10cm of closing so could still let fingers get trapped

These work very well. I’ve fitted to a toy box with solid wood lid. The included template is wrong as the template holes don’t align to those on the hardware. I used the template to locate the first screw nearest to the hinge and then aligned the others. Quick install
