We recently moved to a smaller house that was supposed to have two extra bedrooms. We thought fantastic! We have a guest room! Well, turns out one of those bedrooms is more like a walk-in closet. There's not even enough room for a twin bed. I'm not sure a crib would even fit in there.So that meant we needed to have something available for guests in the other room, which we use as a recording studio. Since the room is mostly a recording studio, we didn't want to set up a permanent bed because we needed the space most of the time for the studio and due to the room's weird layout, a murphy bed was not possible. We also didn't want to get a rollaway bed and have to haul it up the stairs every time someone came to visit. A futon is too big for the space and a hideaway loveseat bed would have completely blocked access to the bookcase. The only thing we found that would work turned out to be more than we spent on our studio computer. I love my family and friends, but they can sleep on an air mattress at that price.So I was totally ecstatic when I found this thing on Amazon. It looked exactly like what we needed, was affordable, and the reviewers didn't seem to hate it outright, so we gambled on it.I'm so glad we did because it's exactly what we wanted! It fits perfectly in the space and set up is a breeze! It has legs hidden in a zippered pouch in the back for when it's in chair mode and is quite sturdy as both a chair and a bed. The design fits our aesthetic as well and it works great as a chair when playing instruments.The bed itself might be a little narrower than a twin, but I haven't slept on a twin bed in years to really compare. Our guest sheets were for an older full-size bed we no longer have, so they of course are too big for this bed or a standard twin. My mother was the first to get to use the new bed and she said it was comfortable, though a bit on the firm side.

Love the look and functionality of this piece! It looks great and feels sturdy. It folds out very easily to a standard cot-sized mattress, which means standard cot-sized sheets fit it perfectly - a big plus! It's very easy for me (a petite woman) to convert from chair to chaise to bed and back.It's REALLY firm. Not a problem to sit on for awhile in chair or chaise mode, but I added a memory foam cushion to the seat to make it a bit more cushy. In bed mode... our first guest said it was much too hard and opted to sleep on the carpeted floor rather than on this bed! Then I added this 3-inch memory foam camping mattress pad (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CCNR435G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and he said it was much better. Our second guest said it was comfortable with the camping mattress pad. If you add this pad to the bed, make sure any fitted cot sheets that you buy are deep pocket sheets and will accommodate at least 7" of mattress (4" of the original mattress plus 3" of camping mattress pad).Keep in mind that you need to have the cushion on the chair at all times, since there are zippers on the top of the chair seat, to hide the foldaway bed support feet. The cushion hides those zippers. There are more zippers on the back of the chair, for the foldaway bed support feet for the other end of the foldout bed - so you probably won't want the chair to be in the middle of the room where people will see the back.

2year Update: This chair has held up great! I use it every day. I’ve converted it to a lounge and a bed. Not to comfy as a bed but ok for one night or short stay for a guest if you cover it with a nice comforter. It has held up well. I paid less than it’s offered for now but I would say it’s worth the money. 1st picture is when I got it 2 years ago. 2nd picture is today.This chair is beautiful. I got a little nervous while waiting for it to arrive, since I’ve never even considered ordering furniture from Amazon before, but I am so super happy I did! It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Ignore those other reviews wherein it says you’ll lose the hardware as it was packaged inside a pocket in the chsir and fell through. Mine was packaged nicely and separately in a small box with the kegs to the chair . So easy to put together, 16 screws for four legs and you’re done! The color is amazing! The price was great! It is a little firm but that means it will last! A little advice...when you receive the package it indicates “this side up”, so do put the package on the floor by those directions. take a razor blade and cut through all packaging tape that is around all edges on top and the top cardboard will easily come right off and the rest falls away and you can begin to assemble. Took me 10 minutes tomassemble with included Alan wrench! I am over the moon with this chair and seems my dog has already claimed it 🤣

This is probably my best purchase of 2021. I wanted a bed for toddler to share the room w us but I hated the fact that he’d outgrow a toddler bed in half a year, and a daybed would be too big for the spare corner of our room. This chair is the perfect solution. When folded it’s a pretty, nice chair. When unfolded, as you can see, a very decent bed, just 7” off the ground so I can put pillows around him and do house chores without going insane thinking he might fall off the bed. Cushion is firm but not uncomfortable. I was laying down to breastfeed baby and felt comfy. When baby no longer needs this bed, I’ll use it as a reading chair or a spare bed for guests. Highly recommend!

This chair looks good in my space, I tried sleeping on it once and it is so hard that parts of my body went numb. A friend stayed over and slept on it two nights and also said it was "a bit too firm" I'm going to use a foam topper the next time it is needed as a spare bed.
