An incredible back to basics watch
This is really an incredible watch. Its looks awesome; it really is amazing how many compliments I've gotten considering the price. The display is clear, large, and has great contrast. The band is very comfortable. And it has been extremely durable and is still going strong after several months of hard wear. I have many watches including an apple watch S2, skagen, fossil, other Timex watches, Garmin, Fitbit and so on. The apple watch is great except for that in some ways it was giving me a bit of notification fatigue. However, the thing I was missing was a true back to basics watch. I'm an ICU nurse and time is very important. I missed looking at my watch even without even turning my wrist and just seeing the time. This is a sturdy, cheap watch I don't have to baby. One that I can wash many times and not worry. Lastly one of the best thing about this watch is the hourly chime. Such a simple feature but something that my apple watch doesn't even have. So many things at work have to be done on the hour and so I've come to love this rely on having it. Great work timex.

As a watch collector, I say: GREAT watch!
This is a great watch. Light, easy to read, simple, cool looking -- and inexpensive. What's not to like? It keeps excellent time as well. Excellent! I own three of these in different styles -- all are great. I've given a half-dozen as gifts. The recipients (mostly family athletes and medical professionals) love them. It's a Timex, ok. A Timex. It says Timex right on it, so you're not sportin' a TAG Heuer, or an Invicta or an Omega or a Rolex, so park the ego. It costs less than $20. But you'll wear it every day. Just a great watch. If you want to spend $50 or $500 more, go ahead. You'll get the same quality and style -- it's a Japanese watch. They almost always work great. I love Casio and Seiko in this class, but this watch is my go-to. It is the equivalent of your favorite flannel shirt, or baseball cap. As my southern friend used to say: "It don't do nothin' but work."

Nice inexpensive watch
I've been wearing this watch daily for a little over a year. I've not made any attempt to baby it, and it still looks like new with one minor exception. The white tick marks and print around the bezel wore off within a month of purchase. By then I had memorized the functions, and didn't need the print anymore, but it did wear off fast. The watch has large easy to read numbers and date on the main screen, but it isn't huge overall. The indiglo backlight is easy to read in the dark. These functions are all I use 99% of the time. The buttons aren't particularly easy to push accidentally, but are easy to operate when you want to use them. The stopwatch works fine, and I've never set the alarm, so can't comment there. I generally don't wear it in the water, but I did leave it on while snorkeling in salt water for a few hours, and that didn't cause any problems. If you need a countdown timer, multiple alarms, multiple time zones, etc. this isn;t the watch for you. If you're looking for a simple, easy to read, digital watch that displays the time and date and doesn't look like you're wearing a hockey puck on your wrist, you can't go wrong with this one for less than $20. If it broke tomorrow, I'd replace it with the same one.Photos are what mine look like after one year. The first photo makes it look larger than it appears on my wrist.

An excellent sports watch for the price
An excellent sports watch for the price. For around $15, this is a great sports watch for the person of the go or someone who just prefers digital over analog. Let's be strait, this is not a $300 watch that gauges temperature, elevation, and syncs with the atomic clock. What this watch is....is a well made, easy to read, easy to use, and affordable watch for your everyday use-- and hey it doesn't look bad either. Its comfortable to wear and not the size of a dinner plate, like many watches these days. If you need something solid without forking over your gas money, this Timex Expidition just might be what you're looking for. It keep me on time and current on the day of the week and the date. It has a stopwatch, indiglo, optional military time, hourly chime on/off, an alarm, and a second time setting to keep track of one additional time zone in another part of the world. I would buy this again (I did- I have two in different colors).

Perfect rugged beater watch.
I have many watches including some that I will only wear on very special occasions and a couple of smart watches. However, there is no replacement for an inexpensive and rugged watch for those days when you will be outside working in the dirt all day or on a camping trip and it might get bumped or scratched or just generally abused. One that you know can take anything you throw at it, but at the same time if you somehow manage to destroy it you can replace without breaking the bank. This fits the bill perfectly! I have worn timex watches since elementary school and they never let me down. Apple, Fitbit, and the other many smart watches are good products, but they just aren’t yet up to the task of a rugged outdoor life. They definitely need to take a few notes from the players from 40+ years ago! I couldn’t be happier with this watch!

easy to read
This watch is simple. I think it looks good and some other watches it is difficult to tell what time it is. Spend $500 on a watch and you have to take a guess. Which I find frustrating when you really have to know what time it is. For the price the quality is good, almost excellent. It doesn't have a lot of gizmos, gadgets, gimmicks bells and whistles, just a simple watch with large numbers, time and date and I'm happy. Except it has weak points such as where the strap is connected to the watch that after a year has a tendency to break, also it needs a strap that lasts longer, and the clasp needs to be a better quality, other then that this watch could last a lifetime.

Great Watch - I have had it for a while now.
Follow up review! Of course this is a Timex Watch so it should be reliable but I wear this daily and of course use it for workouts as well. I am riding anywhere from 50 - 90 Kms in all kinds of weather, re warm, cold, rain and fog....visually the screen works well in all conditions and it certainly just "keeps on ticking". I am a member of the Ski Patrol as well and really do wear this in some pretty awful weather, re minus 20 so far, cold and snowing, the watch just keeps on working.I was pretty much willing to spend for a more expensive watch but really had a hard time finding one wear the display was big enough and legible in all conditions. This was a great purchase and meets my needs exactly, reliable and readable in any weather.

Large numbers - can read it without glasses
I have only had it a few weeks and am very pleased thus far.I shower with it without issues.I will probably put an old unused phone screen protector (cut to size) on it to stop it getting scratched.Having read other reviews, I am careful with the band when I take it off as I want it to last a bit longer than a year.

Good Value
I bought this watch for work. Comfortable, light, and easy to read. Cheap enough that I don't worry about scuffing it up. It's not a watch I would give as a gift, but it works well as a tool. Only negatives I find are the buttons a little too easy to press (I hear a few beeps from accidental presses), and that the straps are not replaceable (I usually replace the straps 3x more often than batteries in the past).
