The Golfer's Night BeFore! Christmas

Description

Fun and chock-full of golf tradition and lingo--Santa gets a lesson on the rooftop Christmas Eve! Children giggle as they learn and seasoned pros smile in satisfaction as they read this “Par-fect” Christmas golf story! This new and expanded edition is a 32 page full-color hardcover that finally reveals the truth about Santa's love for the game of golf —and a problem with his swing! Dressed in red knickers, green thermal golf shirt, and spanking new golf shoes, Santa pauses on his rounds to hit a few practice shots off of a fellow golf enthusiast's roof. But there's a problem! Santa just can't stop hitting a slice! His new golfing buddy comes to his rescue by offering a few tips and giving Santa a lesson right there on the roof on Christmas Eve. He tells Santa, “You see,” I said, Santa, it’s all in the wrists, You’re cocking too soon, and that gives you fits! And keep your head steady, you don't want to sway, That belly of yours sometimes gets in the way!” But there’s more to it than that… Where do the practice balls Santa hits off the roof go? And what do they turn into? What are the reindeer’s golf nick-names? What causes a slice (or heaven fordid—a shank!) and how do the pros think? Does Santa use a Vardon or Overlap grip, or an open or closed stance? And what’s that?... A little mouse putting near the fireplace? And video-taping his swing? You’ll find out all these things and more in this beautifully illustrated, clever and imaginative, as well as informative hardcover. One reader says: "Absolutely love the book. I actually think when we open presents on Christmas Eve that this book will become a family tradition." And after Santa's lesson. . . “His backswing was slower, his wrists cocked a little, And this time he nailed that ball straight down the middle!” Filled with golf terminology, traditions, humor, and class, this book will make every golfer smile and rejoice in golfing satisfaction. It’s clever, heartwarming, and laugh-out-loud funny, with tips that might help young and old alike improve their game. More than 30 golf terms are weaved into the story with a glossary in back that tells eager readers what they mean and where they came from. (Even seasoned golfers may learn a thing or two.) There’s even a quick and simple lesson from Santa that will have kids swinging nicely in no time! (And don’t worry… We replaced the ads in the back of the book that some readers complained about. This new and expanded edition includes the glossary and lesson from Santa instead.) The Golfer’s Night BeFORE! Christmas makes the Par-fect stocking-stuffer or Christmas card for any golfer on your list! Be a good caddy! Get this for the golfer you love! (All for little more than the price of a greeting card!) “And as he flew off, and tipped me his hat, I thought I could hear the gallery clap! And I heard him call out as he swung back around, Merry Christmas FORE! all, and FORE! all, a good round!” Comments from some readers. . . Please ship by fastest method possible.
