- Easy to install
I ordered 3 of these items in clear to replace all my outdoor outlets. I had to purchase these since a GFCI outlet in the garage kept tripping when it rained really hard. I took my electric current tester with the GFCI tripped and found the outdoor outlets were all on the same circuit as the GFCI outlet. My refrigerator is hooked up to the one in the garage since it's in the location we want it but couldn't have an outlet providing no power after it rains really hard. I knew what I had to do and that was to get onto Amazon, order 3 of these things and 3 tamper resistant outlets. I just got finished installing them today and took about 1 - 2 hours. Electricians will charge about $150 for 2 hours... I switched the breaker off for this circuit and replaced them all for $40 bucks with the newer TR outlets and this weather resistant cover. # Pros - Well made, thick; not cheap plastic. Thick plastic pin is well made and I think this will hold up for a long time. - Easy to install, comes with all the necessary adapters for different types of outlets. In my case I just ordered the decorator style outlets so I didn't have to remove the adapter. Preinstalled with the decorator adapter. Those outlets are much heavy duty than the standard 2 circular ones. - Tabs on right and bottom side that can be clipped on or off for wires. This will be great for the winter when I put up lights. - Won't rust since it's plastic. Usually metal pins will rust after a while and start appearing on the siding / trim. # Cons - No gasket seal to help keep moisture out from the transparent cover and the cabinet. If it rains hard and it fails, I might have to tweak it and add a gasket. It does have a gasket in the back to make a seal to the box though. - Didn't include enough screws for using the 4 corner mount where it's recessed for drilling. # Conclusion I really like this product and happy that I ordered it. I almost ordered the older model until a review mentioned this newer model and how it's much better quality. They are about the same price so I had to get the newer model. I've uploaded a photo of it open since the product listing doesn't help much and they say a picture is worth a thousand words. As always, I will update this review as I'm more experienced with this product.

Well Constructed for Light Home Use
If you're looking for an outlet cover that you'll not open and close a lot, this is the one. I'm using it for my outdoor lighting, so I have no plans on opening and closing it on a regular basis, so, based on the build quality, it should last a really long time. I liked that there was the option to make it open horizontally or vertically. Easy to install, too.

I would purchase again
Reasonably priced and good quality. I was looking for something to blend in with the soffits.

Protects against direct sprinkler spray with bottom knockouts removed & occupied
I bought and installed two of these next to each other, on Hubbell-Bell 2-gang outdoor NM/plastic boxes, in a spot on the side of the house where it's unavoidable to be in direct sprinkler "firing line" (i.e. they are subject to direct spraying water 3x/week). So far, so good.... it's been a few months since I installed the first one and I've had no problems. I also have two of the bottom 3 cord knockouts removed, and occupied with cords. One of those cords is very thin so in theory it is "riskier" due to more open area, but the GFCI I installed in the box has not tripped once. The one downside I'd say (nitpicking) is that these covers don't lock in the open position, which can be annoying, and is not more than about 95 degrees (so just higher than straight-out extended). Said covers are also really hard to remove from the little pins that hold them in place, so it's ideal not to be in and out of them too much once installed. however, that's maybe -1 star, and overall these are a great product

Saved my bacon, to find a side-opening box for a tight space.
Wiring an outdoor box under my deck and using an existing hole for the conduit, I ended up with a weatherproof box that had maybe an inch of clearance to the deck above. And only then did I discover that the weatherproof cover I had on hand, when opened, would not allow its top screw to be installed. That's when I finally found this dual-opening cover, which promised to solve the problem by swinging open to the side rather than up. It has done the job and I'm grateful, but I should also note that the top pivot array still sticks up by 3/4" or so. That made things just a bit too snug for this installation, but I studied the gasket design and concluded that the cover would still be watertight if I removed the top array with a hacksaw. That worked, and I'm happy not to have had to rewire the original box placement.

Easy to install and fit nicely
Very easy to set up. Comes with everything you need. The pop outs were a bit tough to cut out but with a little back and forth twist they eventually came undone. Over all great product.

Works perfectly and exactly as advertised
Its simply a weatherproof box for covering outlets or other utility connections outdoors. I used it to run speaker cable from my receiver to outdoor speakers under the patio. Instead of drilling holes in the walls, I wired the cable through unused telephone jacks that were outside. Ran cable through the opening and used this as a weatherproof cover for the cable connections. I'm in Southern California so we don't get really any bad weather so I wouldn't say it protects from all weather conditions. But the box is light, easy to install and cover the electronic connections as I hoped it would. I would highly recommend.
