The bookmark indeed is very pretty. I purchased two of these - one for myself and one for a friend who liked it very much. However the friend did not say if she uses it as a bookmark and if it is easy to use, etc. Bookmark can best be described as dainty - it has a little butterfly that extends past the goldish leaf, which is very intricately designed. I love the little filled ball on the end that dangles from the chain - the ball is filled with a tiny flower and purple glitter. For me, and maybe just for me, it can be awkward to use as a bookmark. The butterfly does not lie flat and i found it took a bit of maneuvering to use. Overall it is nice and makes a wonderful gift. However, I find myself using my traditional flat paper bookmarks more to actually mark and hold pages than the butterfly one. Still it is pretty.

Came in a really nice box and the bookmark was beautiful! I bought for my mother in law, and she loved it! The butterfly is delicate but made really well! The chain attaching the flower & butterfly the leaf are a perfect length for keeping your place in a book without damaging pages! The leaf is beautiful and lays perfectly flat! I'll be buying a few more of these!
