Did the job
Used the pads to oil my wood flooring, was worried as they felt scratchy, but they did the job perfectly, spreading the oil evenly and used half the amount of oil as expected, so that's a winner also. Photo shows oiled floor on left and non oiled on the right.

makes spreading oil much more efficient/thinner application - less waste on the cloth at the end.
used with Osmo to oil up some birch ply. application way easier / quicker / less waste / mess than using a rag. Kept it in an air tight bag between uses and it saved cleaning up and wasting more oil.
