Packaging was a dream. Absolutely adorable. Clear and useful instructions that my 6 year old could follow on her own. Everything germinated and thrived indoors for several months before succumbing to a pest problem. That's no fault of the product, of course. We loved this product and will probably buy it again. My only gripe is that the markers were cute BUT molded pretty quickly and had to be disposed of. Sealing them on your own might help but I didn't try that initially so it was too late. Love the product though. Packaging was my favorite part. Very low-impact.

Well, all plants are growing! I was pleasantly surprised by how many seeds were in each pouch—far more than you can plant with the number of peat pellets provided. I used old takeout containers as a germination tray and put them under a grow light and they all beat the estimated germination length on the packet by several days. Basil was sprouting within 3 days. Parsley took longer to show but then shot up 2 inches in 2 days. Unfortunately my kit did not come with the bamboo labels. I’ll have to buy those separately I guess. Otherwise I’m glad I ordered the seed + pellet duo. If you have the ability to just go to a hardware store it will probably be cheaper, but that’s not always an option.

The compacted soil disks are really small; they didn’t expand as much as I thought they would after soaking. I added the seeds to the disks and later planted them in small pots with additional soil. Perhaps that’s why it’s called a “starter” kit. I recommend soaking the seeds for 24hrs before putting them in the soil disks. This will help them germinate/sprout quicker. This is a great gift for anyone who enjoys cooking with fresh herbs or someone who is interested in gardening. Kids may like this as a project at home as well.

This is a very cute kit and a fun and educational project to do with the kids. A couple of problems though. The soil samples are very small, making it very difficult to work with. There were 8 herbs in all. A couple of them never sprouted. A couple more sprouted for a little while and inexplicably died. Months later, only two have survived.

These all sprouted quickly and easily. These kits are too cute, the packaging is so luxe, the directions are easy and you'd be hard pressed to ruin it. Perfect gift, can't wait to buy more and share. Thank you!

The presentation was super neat and cute. I was SO excited to get started because I've always wanted an herb garden in my home. I followed the directions that came with the package and even went as far as to follow the directions on the back of each herb packet. Two of the herbs started sprouted within maybe three days which was really cool to see. The next day, they were dead. Nothing else has grown at all. I reached out to the sellers about a week ago because they have a guarantee on their site and never heard back. I understand corona makes it difficult for everyone right now, but they aren't honoring their guarantee, I have no herbs, and I wasted money on the product. Just another disappointment to add to the list.

I am very disappointed with this kit. I came in such a nice presentation and my daughters were so excited to do this with me. Only 2 herbs grew - and we have special grow lights - the best soil - everything you need to grow herbs perfectly -- so it's just the seeds - they were bad seeds - I feel like I paid WAY too much for this. I could have gone to home depot and bought starter herbs for MUCH CHEAPER and had a more successful outcome.
