LinenspaZippered Mattress Encasement - Waterproof & Bed Bug Proof - Premium Noiseless & Absorbent Cover – Cal King, White

My tempurpedic mattress was not cheap, I want it to last, and I don't want to breathe in dust all night, so this is perfect. Aside from spilling and dripping moisture issues, horrible congestions can arise from mattresses drenched with dust and invisible to us dust mites. This encasement solves all the problems, and without any noise every time you move - as long as you use a flat sheet over it, because this is plastic, not meant to sleep directly on it as some people I know thought. That would be uncomfortable. This brand does not cause any more sweating than sleeping without one. I have used it for 4 years, and then had it off a year so I know the difference, and this is not making me sweat. People sweat at night, it is what it is, Some people may need help to put this on - its like stuffing the mattress into a large envelope, with the mattress still laying down flat. It does not just lay on top. Once that is done, it zips up well. The zipper tab pokes into a tiny sleeve so that there is no open area at all anywhere for even dust mites to get in.

So easy to put on the mattress. Love the feel. It fit my adjustable mattress perfectly. I have a king bed but ordered the California King and it fit great.

In the middle of only the third night sleeping on our lovely brand new mattress, my aged cat tried out a new trick and crawled up between me and my husband (at face level) and took a piss. I was SO grateful that I had neurotically decided to we couldn't sleep on our new bed until I sheathed it in this liner, because of - you know - dust mites or allergens or something. It never even occurred to me my cat would pull such a filthy stunt. But while everything on the bed, including this liner, needed to be immediately laundered, the mattress was untouched and is still good as new. I honestly think we would have had to replace it were if not for this thing. I will never go without one of these liners on my bed again. Because you just don't know what you don't know!Plus, its great quality and goes on easily and doesn't crinkle and all that good stuff. But most importantly, it's cat pee proof.

A mattress cover is a recommended way to deal with dust mites, which we're both allergic to. We wanted a full-encasement cover for the best protection. Linenspa's encasement protector was a good deal and seems to be sturdy and water resistant, although we didn't buy it for waterproofing. We have a California King-sized mattress, and getting the encasement onto it was quite an endeavor. The product didn't come with any instructions and unlike some other brands, Linenspa doesn't provide a YouTube video showing how to do it. We finally figured it out after some sweaty and marriage-testing effort. The encasement does seem to be good quality and now that it's on the mattress, we're pretty happy with it. It doesn't crackle or make any noise; we didn't know it was there, really. That said, some products include a velcroed patch to put over the zipper ends and Linenspa lacks this feature.

Easy to use kept the bugs out

Whether you need it for home or for protection for an Airbnb or rental, this will do the job. Very thick material. Easy to clean. No bugs are getting through this!

Encasement was a great fit! The material is very well made.

Alright, so I didn’t rate it 5 stars for install because it’s a bit of a pain to get such a large mattress (cal king) into an protector that doesn’t zip all around. Not impossible of course, and quite frankly a full around zip might potentially compromise its durability, so oh well.I’m writing this review just shy of 7 years later. Once installed, I never took this thing off my mattress until this morning when it was going to a new home. I always kept a waterproof mattress pad on top of this so that I would have a layer that was easily washable - unfortunately those fail and we were left with some spots on the outside of the mattress encasement.Well, see the photo for yourself… years, kids (spit up, blowout or leaky diapers), dogs, cats (cat yak)… nothing made it through to the mattress and still appears as if new!While the mattress is going to a new home, I’m keeping the mattress encasement for the next mattress and will use these for any other beds I will get!

I liked the texture, silky and soft like a regular cotton sheet, but still waterproof and dust proof not plastic-ly like others. My 3yr old has bad dust allergies..it really helped with dust mites in the bed.

Did not fit our King bed, quite difficult to try and put on, wish the return window was longer.
