Solid 2" trailer hitch for the price
Used this 2" trailer hitch a few times with zero issues. The specs listed on this are a 2" drop or a 3/4" rise if flipped the other direction. It's rated for 7500 lbs gross trailer weight, and 750 lbs max tongue weight. Although these are the specs for the trailer hitch, every vehicle has a different rating that should be equal or lower than the rating of the hitch. Be sure to verify those numbers to ensure proper towing safety. My primary use case for this was in an older 2001 Land Rover that needed the hitch a little down and away from the bumper. 2 inches was the perfect amount of drop for this without sacrificing too much for a trailer to stay level. The addition of the black paint made it a really snug fit in my receiver. Albeit, there might be a very small amount of rust buildup in the receiver. When installing, I need to give it a few light kicks to get it all the way in. It shouldn't need to come off very often, so this is just fine for me. I would prefer it being a little snug rather than rattling around all the time. The hitch ball and included hardware are of decent quality and have had no issues with corrosion or rust build up yet, but time will tell. The bolt securing the hitch ball was properly torqued right out of the box, but is something should check any ways.Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good quality hitch to tow their toys around with.

My second Curt hitch (adjusted for different trailers)
The CURT 45036 Trailer Hitch Mount is a beast when it comes to towing utility trailers. I've had the pleasure of using this hitch for my own hauling needs, and I must say, it's a reliable workhorse. This is actually my second CURT hitch, and I can confidently say that both of them have exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and sturdiness. When it comes to installation, CURT has done a commendable job of making it a relatively painless process. While I won't pretend that installing a trailer hitch is a walk in the park, CURT's design and instructions certainly make it more bearable. Once it's securely attached, this hitch delivers a sense of confidence with its solid build and dependable performance. So, if you're in the market for a trailer hitch that can handle the rough and tumble of towing a utility trailer, the CURT 45036 Trailer Hitch Mount is a rock-solid choice that won't let you down.

Good ball/mount but over tightened ball.
Great ball mount/ball.. It's all metal as expected.Only downside/complaint is they crazy-torque the ball onto the mount. I wanted to flip the ball so that it is raised from the receiver rather then lowered from it (it's on a car so having it down causes it to drag on the ground sometimes). I had a pair of channel lock pliers on hand, but they could not get it to budge. Looks like other people have claimed success with pipe wrenches.I ended up buying this Reese Towpower 74342 Hitch Ball Wrench It was cheaper then pipe wrenches i could find in that size and It worked, although i had to put the mount in the receiver sideways (I don't have a vice), put the wrench on the nut, and carefully jumped on the wrench a few times to get it loose (tried pulling/pushing it a few times with no success). Once it was loose I was able to use one of the channel lock pliers on the ball side to prevent it from turning inside the mount and was able to flip it.I tightened it pretty good, but could not get it as tight as they do at the factory.

Superior Quality!!! The attention to detail!! Curt for life!
Exceptional attention to detail! The ball was pre-mounted, and the writing was perfectly oriented toward the trailer. I have had Reese hitches as well as others, and they are solid and fine, but the heft and quality of the welds and paint set the Curt brand apart! I am willing to bet that they treat their employees very well, and set a high standard for them.

Solid and strong!
This is a high-quality product. I used it on my truck to pull a U-Haul trailer and it worked great. Any products who are willing to put their name on deserve some recognition. This is one of them!
