This thing has more pockets, compartments, and features than I can count. The majority of the pockets are open but there are a few that can be zippered or strapped closed. The laptop sleeve is well padded and lined with a very soft material that gives it a luxurious feel. The main compartment is also deceptively large considering how compact the ROOCASE appears from the outside.This backpack has a clean/simple look that I really enjoy. The orange accents (logo, zippers) and reflective safety strip give just enough of a "pop" against the overall black design to stand out while not being distracting or over the top. The backpack is sturdy and holds it's shape well, but isn't stiff or rigid.I never gave water resistance much thought in past purchases but my commute does include a 5-10 minute walk to the office so I am often exposed to the elements. In the past my old backpack has been soaked to the point that I had to air it out to dry after getting into work. I'm looking forward to seeing how effective the water resistance is with the ROOCASE and I'm happy to have a little extra piece of mind that everything in my backpack is protected.

I bought this for work. I have a locker at my job, but it got too troublesome transporting stuff from my locker in the department to floor where I'm working (in a hospital), then transporting things like my water bottle and kindle from my locker back home when I have a string of off days, so I got this on a whim to use in place of my locker.I didn't research a whole lot like most of my purchases because I just needed something simple, but this fit the bill and then some. The quality and style both look top notch (it doesn't look like a high schooler's back pack). In addition, I've found little things that I really like about it:- I can't say enough about how nice it looks. Almost more like a piece of luggage than a simple backpack.- The flaps on the sides when you open the main compartment.- the USB port on the side. I don't have a need for that, but how cool is that?- Lots of pockets for dozens of things I have to take to work.- The pouch is perfect for my laptop and seems very padded.Since I didn't research my purchase, I feel like I just lucked up in finding this gem.

I wish it was larger as it is tight for my laptop. Materials are well done and comfortable fit. Very light.

It can hold a lot of stuff and it has tons of pockets which I find to be very useful. There is a USB charging port, but I didn't find the built-in cable that's supposed to be connected to it. Despite that, it's a good backpack.

This backpack is awesome! I bought this backpack, and the InCase Icon Slim at the same time. The InCase backpack cost twice as much, but surprisingly the build quality was identical on both of these. I actually like the rooCase's design better- it seems more well thought out, both for looks and for functionality. I am keeping this and returning the InCase.
