When cooked properly, it's not half bad. it cooks much like rice but does not quite thicken up like rice or oatmeal. Cook like it says on the packaging and It'll turn out fine.By its self its quite dreary and grainy plus chewy and reminiscent of old and very wet grass stuck inside a lawn mower. But, in the right pairing, some thing mystical happens - it becomes delicious!The cereal takes savory, creamy and even slightly acidic treatments well. it can pair with any vegetable or meat dish you can imagine and will absorb flavors well. So, it's like a tiny sort of rice in that regard but with more nutrition. it goes very well with cheese and can be eaten like hot cereal with milk or cream. The best combination is .... Parmesan cheese and nothing else but that added and mixed into the bowl. I discovered that the mix does not take well to sweet flavors as they over power the cereal's delicate flavors.Texture wise it is has a very grain, loose texture that needs help making good poop in your intestines. Yes, we do have to mention that since all that goes in must come out. So, cook it thoroughly with no short cuts or you will have torrential explosive poo. But in the end - no pun intended - when cooked properly it is really good and full of excellent nutrients and is extremely diverse culinary, This is another reason why Parmesan cheese works so well. It makes it taste great and that cheese helps it to stick to your ribs as well.Other good pairs are potatoes, a little yam, meat, sturdy leafy vegetables, non-sweet root vegetables and other grains. But its pretty darn grainy as is so go with some thing that will stick together like rice - really anything that lends some starch consistency to hold the grains together. Butter goes fantastic with this grain mix.If you really want to go sweet then be sparing and use a bit of salt or complimentary spice to accentuate the taste of the sweetness since simple table sugars or syrups will pretty much ruin it. But remember, milk and butter are already sweet and they work fine.

When the product arrived, it looked as it was supposed to, so I set it aside. A few days later when I looked for the nutrition facts on the packaging, I found instructions on how to grow "broccoli sprouts" instead of the "Organic Super Grains Blend" as advertised. The label was a sticker, so I guessed that maybe there was a different label underneath, but the bag had absolutely no identification on the actual packaging. I looked closer at the pellets in the bag, and they appear to look more like seeds than the mixture pictured. I'm not quite sure if there was a mix-up or what, but I did not feel comfortable consuming this product because it could literally be anything and because there is no real label, I wouldn't know any different.

I will return this. At first glance, I was turned off due to a large sticker being placed over the entire back of the original bag/package - weird. Then I thought "ok just try it anyway". Unfortunately upon closer inspection, cooking instructions are not even included on the sticker. Seems a little janky.

I use these grains for my daily smoothies. They help to get the grains I need and they also help me to stay full for longer. This is the second time I’ve bought grains. The first one I bought were a Trader Joe’s brand that is longer carried on Amazon but these are the next best thing. I will be buying these again!

Using this product for my bread baking. Love the combo of seed, really makes a nice crunch in a whole grain bread.

Was very happy to find this mixture at such a great price.

Unfortunately, I just received this item a couple of days ago and haven't had a chance to use it. I bought it for baking.
