I Am So Happy I Purchased This Before Being Left Stranded
The media could not be loaded. I wasn't prepared for what this tool was gonna save me from. I will say this is single handedly the best quick decision I made. I was sitting in the parking lot of the DMV/MVA when I purchased this tool. I was getting some registration documents for my trailer and while waiting for the appointment to begin thinking about all the necessary things I would need in order to be ready for the weekend. I was gonna attempt a Tow Hitch install on my vehicle that involved me taking off the bumper and lowering the exhaust. I didn't even know such a tool existed! While looking at other cheaper options made in questionable countries with subpar materials, this one looked the most durable. Of course, being American made, this comes at a cost. The question I asked myself, "I am probably gonna use this tool once, why do I need to spend extra money on this one?" The answer came as a hard realization when in one review of another well-reviewed product similar to this one, showed a man bleeding from the tool that had snapped it's handle in half, causing it to run into the mans hand. This isn't to say, that this product would or couldn't cause me or someone else to suffer from the same fate, but I have faith that this would have been minimized in it's inherent design quality. It feels good. Functioning the same as most, but in my hands, this product seems well thought out. It fits will in my hand. Functions like a set pliers. And provides leverage when removing the exhaust hanger. The purpose of this tool is designed to unlink the rubber exhaust hangers from their metal anchored counterparts. The interesting thing about my situation, was that the anchors I was supposed to detach mine from had become so corroded with rust, that without this tool, would have had to been cut off from my vehicle. I am serious. This tool is vital. Plus, if you have a few buddies who work on their cars and the need for one comes up, you'll be the hero that saves the day. Just read some of the other useful reviews! I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, it's worth the money, and time you save from trying to wrangle the exhaust hangers with anything else.

Do NOT think twice about buying this tool.
I'm echoing what others have already said.Rather than attack your exhaust hangers with a pry bar and risk gouging things up underneath, do yourself a MASSIVE favor and buy this tool. You will save yourself frustration and anger. Incidentally, I could not find this tool for sale locally in any brick-and-mortar store. Here's a story to illustrate how this tool is worth the money, even after a single use:I recently swapped exhausts with a fellow enthusiast.I put my car on jackstands at home, get underneath, lubricate hangers with KY jelly, use tool. Exhaust comes off with zero drama, even after 20,000 miles. 10 minutes tops, one person job. No issue. No frustration.I show up at the other guy's place with my exhaust to do the swap. His car is up on jackstands. He and his burly friend have been attacking his exhaust for OVER AN HOUR and one of the exhaust hangers is just "stuck". (This is with 2500 miles on the system.) There are cans of WD40 and PB Blaster strewn about. They are clearly frustrated and do not know what else to do. They even apologize and say sorry, I don't think we can do the swap because we can't get the exhaust off the car.I had brought the pliers along just in case there were any issues, and when I showed them, the look of relief on their face was immediate and obvious. One minute later, his exhaust is off the car.The tool paid for itself many times over for time saved, frustration avoided, and life-expectancy added.Don't think twice about buying this tool if you are going to be doing any sort of DIY exhaust work involving rubber exhaust hangers!

Good tool, use lube.
Works great. People of negitive review, put some silacone spray on the pins for pete's sake, then push.Super smooth and easy, fought these mounts for years, I was amazed.

Handy little specialty tool!
This thing is nearly perfect, but for the price, I'm very happy. I try not to go too crazy on single-purpose tools (who has the money and the space for all that?), but this is one thing I'm glad I bought. It got into a relatively tight spot, and popped the hanger off the pin pretty easily. Would have taken me way longer and more effort without it, especially given the reduced clearances. Two reasons I said "nearly perfect". First, for additional leverage, a slightly longer handle would have been nice. I have very large hands and am stronger than average, and even still, there were times I needed to get both hands on this thing to get the torque I needed (petroleum jelly on the parts you're trying to separate helps, btw). Second, I haven't permanently bent the tool yet, but I suspect I eventually will. It's reasonably well made, but the handles, which take the leverage, are stamped steel, and I can feel when I'm really squeezing down on this thing with both hands that it's starting to "give" a little. All in all, I don't expect to use this often, but when I do, I'll be glad I have it, just like I was last night for its first use. I'm sure if I was a professional, I'd have a tool costing five times this and better made, but I find this is pretty decent overall.
