There is a difference between the original carburetor and the replacement, a diaphragm on the choke side not on the replacement but I haven't noticed any performance issues. Also, the inline fuel filter had a pin-hole leak but I just got a different one at a local parts store. Arrived early and I really appreciate that as the 2003 Arctic Cat is used caring for fences.

Bought to replace the carb on a 2003 Artic Cat 500.I was having an issue I couldn’t get resolved. After taking the old carb off and on 6-7 times and cleaning it thoroughly, I finally decided to give this carb a try.I took the jets out of my carb, which were already cleaned and put them in this replacement carb.I used my own in line filter. The one that this came with didn’t impress me.The hardest part was getting the new plastic choke connector on because the spring puts a lot of tension on it and there isn’t much wire to place the lead into the brass insertIf your plastic choke connector is ok, prob better to just leave it alone. Mine was stripped from removing it numerous times.Once I got this new carb installed, it fired right.It idled a little high on start up but once it warmed up, I was able to dial it in easily with the thumb screw adjuster.Thankfully I never had to adjust the air mix screw, as it was set well from the factory.The second pic is the old carb. The new one doesn’t have that pc that looks like a primer. It still works great without it.The green beast is alive again!
