Was the right part and fixed the problem

I watched a youtube video where a guy took the cannister apart because he thought something was not right. He did not realize a tiny donut gasket on the part makes it TIGHT to install on purpose. You can't just push it in by hand and turn it to install. Same OEM quality as any Dorman.

Used this part to get rid of error code p1450 on 2016 Ford Edge Titanium 4 cyl. Had difficulty applying enough pressure to get the new part to click in. Had to take out the complete housing assembly in order to get this part to connect correctly. Assembly box went back in easily after that. Saves a few hundred on a mechanic repair.

I own a 2020 ford ranger 2.3 2wd automatic with 41k miles as a reference. My thanks to Amazon for delivering it so quickly and one of the reviewers for suggesting reusing the oem seals. Please note the picture to the left as the connector is right beside the black hose with the green clip. From left to right the Dorman vs Motorcraft are identical. Unfortunately, the performance of the Dorman was just as bad as my worn out Motorcraft. Smooth at idle, but the shifting becomes erratic once in drive.

This vent saved me a nice spot of change. The quality is as good as the dealers Mfg. I replaced it and the system is back up 100% and the check engine lite is now resolved. Nice product.

This is a press, twist and lock piece... I couldn't get it to lock in for the life of me, or press in all the way. it its just a smidge longer than oem. I retested the original OEM bit and the locked in perfectly, so fair to say... this aftermarket brand is not an exact match.

My faithful 2013 F150 (5.0 SCAB) tossed its first CEL this year and this was the fault after doing a bit of research online figuring out the manufacturer specific code my reader displayed. Canister is on drivers side frame rail, and if my memory serves well, I believe you have to twist right about a quarter turn. Pay attention to electrical connection orientation before pulling the old unit out. I used a little bit of dielectric grease on the new unit o-rings to ease installation.

Had the error code P1450 and sounds from rear quarter area. Replaced easily without tools in about 15 minutes. Cleared DTC error code and hasn’t come back. Idle is much smoother too!
