We're used to having the plates all be the same design but we ended up liking the different designs on the 4 plates. The plates feel heavy and are sturdy. We liked them so much, we ended up buying another set. They're so nice, we use them for special occasions. One of the dishes in the set had a minor defect but the seller was nice enough to give us a partial refund. Very happy with this product.

I bought the 24 oz. bowls along with these plates. The designs are stunning and I love everything Asian inspired. These plates have some heft to them, but are not exceedingly heavy. I have some other stoneware that's so heavy, it's like lifting a brick and I don't use them. I know these are going to get some use . . . they are just simply beautiful and seem to be well made. Time will tell, but for now I'm pretty pleased with my purchase and the cost was super reasonable for what you're getting.

These plates as well as the related bowls and salad plates we bought are all outstanding. They are more beautiful than they look on line and the white undersides have a beautiful gloss and creamy color with a subtle mesh pattern. They are also very durable. It's a fantastic bargain for something this attractive and of such good quality. We are really happy with this purchase and proud to use this set when friends and family are over for dinner. They are more than just everyday dishes even if we paid a very reasonable price.

First, the rating of 2 for "light weight" is a good thing. These plates are heavier than they look.The tiny images really don't do justice to the artism in the designs. Each one has lots of tiny details. Someone who knew what they were doing designed the patterns.I wanted some plates that don't have 'strong' sides, that is, these are not for liquid dishes; even sauces could spill over. But the sides have enough height to keep solid food in place, and there is a smooth increasing angle for the sides (i.e., no sudden changes in angle). Perfect for tostadas, for example.

They are pretty and match bowls i purchased

These plates are absolutely gorgeous! The colors are distinct, sharply contrasting the white of the porcelain itself. They are weighted and don't feel cheaply made at all. Even the backs are meticulously detailed with a ridges patterning to make the plates easier to handle and move around your kitchen/eating area. The patterns are so well-designed and I'm almost afraid to use them. Thankfully, they are coated with a glossy protective layer on both sides to keep these looking great, meal after meal after meal.

I love the super bright colors on this plate/bowl set I EVEN purchased the matching bowls to go along with the platesThe set is bright colored and does not fade when washed several times and the ceramic does not heat up when you warm up your foodI am very happy and I also smile at the prettiness of my set when serving dinner to my family

These are stunning. They are thick and have held up well, dishwasher safe, no chipping, microwave safe. I feel some joy every time I use them because how beautiful they are to look at!

I love the look and feel of these plates. They are beautiful to look at and are sturdy & well made. They are very easy to clean. Often times, a simple rinse it all it takes. I also have a matching set of bowls. My opinion of them is the same. I'm very happy to recommend.

Wonderful plates, very heavy and well made. The patterned texture on the underside is a beautiful touch!Also have the bowl set, which is equally lovely! If only they made side plates too ...
