great book
great book. pretty good collection of Dylans music. shows basic chord progression for most of the songs. one might want to experiment with different strum styles as to what works best with what song. I think Bob Dylan used a lot of strum styles, too. he did have some favored styles, I think.

VERY COMPREHENSIVE
This book is well organized and the guitar chords are easy to read. Even includes songs he didn't write but participated in such as Handle With Care.

yeah! Heavy and a bottle of bread!
I love love love this book. I have had a few other Dylan chord books over the years, and this one is the best by far. I have had a few other Dylan chord books with maybe 20-30 songs in each one. this is the Bible. This thing has close to 500 songs Bob wrote, in order, by album from 1962 to 2009. It is truly just awe inspiring to flip through this thing. I am so glad I got this and would really recommend to everyone. every household should have this book! Now that being said, this is a very heavy book, so not something I would bring camping, or really walking around with for that matter. If you enjoy albums like: the basement tapes, planet waves, desire, traveling wilburys, time out of mind, etc you probably are a Dylan head and you should have this book;)

such an effort but ...
I received the book two days ago. The delivery is fine so to keep this huge paperback book intact. My random observation is that the font size is small and thin, which suggests that it is a reference book rather than for musicians to play from it on the music stand. Per page, it includes title, tuning, capo, album title, tablature for intro, riff, turnaround (depending on its context), time signature, rhythmic pattern, chords symbols, and the lyrics. I guess that the literature or Bob Dylan's songs must be in better position (copyright and value) to be presented this way with no melodic reference at all (I understand that the song is half sung and spoken at the same time which is hard to transcribe/notate). Aha, perhaps the melody may exist as the oral tradition. The introduction included in this book is valuable for its rhythmic and stylistic interpretation of Dylan's guitar playing. I like this book, but just hope that there could be a host of audios to go over with every song! The photo is to give the readers here a bit sense of the font size, compared to piano music for children and adult.

Do I have the book for you.
Do you sometimes put on your sunglasses and walk around your apartment with an acoustical guitar and pretend you’re Dylan? This book has the words to every song Bob Dylan ever wrote. And it’s got the chords, too. And even a moron can play these songs.

All the songs, each on one page, with tunings, chord charts, and rhythmic outline
The songs are not complete transcriptions. This is fine with me because I want to learn the song so I can interpret it my way, not to copy the exact fingering of each measure as recorded to master tape. Songs are in order of publication. Each single-page song has full lyrics with chord letters, charts of the chords, tablature for the rhythmic structure, tuning, and capo placement. This is not what a Dylan impersonator would want. It's closer to the Fake Book style of songbook. But that's what I want. Maybe it's what you want too. In any case it's great!

Very complete, and brand new, a great deal.
This is the size of a city telephone book, with much nicer pages. The Lyrics, chords, string tunings of every songDylan ever performed, and some he only thought about. At 35$, this Guide should satisfy the most avid Dylan fan, or the most demanding guitarist.IMO, a great reference for all experience levels.

Most Every Song
He just keeps going so again, it needs to be expanded. Loved his music since I first heard him in 1963.

Not perfect, but still essential
The intro of the book is excellent as an insight into Bob’s guitar playing technique, and the chords are mostly pretty accurate. I was disappointed that some albums aren’t covered, especially ‘Good as I Been to You’, and some song versions such as from ‘The Rolling Thunder Revue’. Also, Bob beautifully covered many other songs he didn’t write, and maybe they should be documented one day. It would be nice to have some piano music too (ok ok , I know, it’s a Guitar Chords book :)More seriously, the words are printed in quite a fine font - elegant, but not very readable for old farts like me. Nice book though, and I don’t think it will ‘fall apart on me’ anytime soon.Anyway, forget my wish list - if you like playing Bob, or even just want the lyrics, it’s a excellent book. Just get it - you’ll love it.

Insoddisfatto
Dalla casa editrice mi sarei aspettato una cura maggiore per la parte musica (almeno la scansione ritmica degli accordi). Non lo riconsegno solo perché sono un cultore di Dylan.
