A GREAT piece of cinema, not for children
This is one of the best movies I have seen in years! It is NOT a feel good or fun piece of entertainment. It is an unrelenting, brutal story of a man that society has abandoned, and has been pushed from near the edge, to over and way beyond. Where his only sense of worth and recognized value is the spearhead to lead the charge to destroy the corrupt and uncaring system. J.P. give a masterful performance, draws you in, makes you understand and care about this person how is desperately trying to follow the rules and fit in. When he finally breaks it is no surprise, this had to happen sooner or later. And yet he is not just a monster, he has no hate for the only person how ever treated him decently. The director was great, takes his time, even the side characters feel real and have a sense of backstory. This is the kind of movie that Stanley Kramer would have made. It is entertainment with a message, and that message is worth hearing, treat people like trash, and they will return the favor with interest.I think this story also blends with the Batman saga very well. The Joker is the opposite of Batman because of his environment. The Bruce Wayne we see in the movie has obvious emotional problems, but unlike Joker, he is raised in a rich nurturing and protective atmosphere after his parents are killed. But they bot go into adults that are insane by society standards, one a psychopath screaming truth and the other a vigilante trying to save a collapsing city.I think most of the negative reviews either: A) didn't watch the movie through, B) expected a Nolan style Batman movie, or C) Can't stomach the message.I am amazed this movie got made, let alone wide release. Most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood the last 20+ years is just trash that won't be remembered in 1 year let alone 10. I think Joker is the one that will be taught in cinema class for the next 40 years.By the way, I don't want to slight the other parts of this movie, the costumes are great, the sets and cinematography are perfect. The music and makeup are on a fantastic level. What they did with a $62 million budget puts the $100+ movie to shame. They truly deserve the Oscars for this.

I loved this sequel of DC: JOKER|GUASÓN
Great sequel and DC: Elseworld/what if? Origins and continuations stories about JOKER and gotham city. I loved this sequel. Hopefully we get to explore more of these universe if the creators, directors, and cast decides to continue in the future. I likes that it got to explore of mental health of how people view the world as musical. Because I have seen in person, based on true events, and documantaries of kind of similar situation of how people live like that.It kind of reminds me some other stories of how Joker (comics/animated) sometimes he is in mood for musical mood. Also, when other people start to become the new joker and get influenced by him in Gotham city.

Joker - A Work of Art 9.8/10
I really wanted to see this in theatres, but never got the chance. So when I did get to watch it, I wasnt really expecting what I would see. I knew it wasnt going to be a typical DC Movie, but I was fearing it would end up a DC movie. What I saw, I didnt expect at all and im glad! Joaquin Phoenix gave a superb acting demonstration with this movie so good, that his character came to life. The elements of transition of his character through out the movie were smooth as much as they were chaotic.Compassionate, Chaotic, Psychotic, Drama-Thriller. I loved the setting being in the 1980's (maybe late 1970's couldnt remember if there was a time stamp), you can tell by the older police cars, some of the old locations used for Gotham's back drop. The story starts off slow, building character all for the right reasons. Finally a good Writer, Director and Editor. Scene transitions were 1000 times better than BvS, Justice League and Aqua Man. No bad cuts and edits. Everything made sense and there was literally no horrible lines, acting moments or anything that stood out of the ordinary to distract from the movie. It was a DC movie done right!Only thing that was off for me watching it on Blu-Ray at home, the audio track starts about 0.3 seconds ahead of time. I noticed on several dialogue scenes where each actor started talking before their lips moved. I'd dock 0.2/10 for that on a personal level since I can pick that up and its annoying to me, most others wont notice.***Warning - This movie is very realistic towards how the under to middle class society is treated through poverty, health, abandonment, social interactions, and Mental Stability.*** I am no doctor, wont ever try to claim to be. I would advise seeking help if you ever have any troubles, physically or mentally. This movie can potentially trigger some problems for people coping with abuse and mental diseases.
