GW Men's 1606ST Steel Toe Work Boots

Almost spent twice as much for a new pair of work boots, but I was swayed by the Goodyear welt. I'm very happy that I did so, because these boots are excellent! Only had them for a week, so time will tell if they will hold up for the long haul. I will modify the review if necessary.

I'm a size 11, I usually get 11.5 when ordering online. But there wasn't a size option for that. 12 was too much, I didn't want my foot sliding around in my shoe. So I got the 11. It fit the length of my foot, but not the width. My big toes chafe against the side of the shoe. After breaking the shoe in, it wasn't a big deal, but it still happens. And they're callused somewhat.They're wearable, but I'll be buying new ones much sooner than I normally do. Normally I wear work boots down till I'm on my bare feet. They are otherwise great boots. I like the solid black color, the unemphasized brand logo. and that little silver strip giving it a little bit of a sneaker look. Like the work boot that is a professional, but will occasionally go to house parties. I don't really like the tan interior, but fortunately my foot covers that up for the most part.If it came in an 11.5 I would have given it 5 stars.

Quality is horrible. I have had these boots for 6 weeks. They fit a little large, just put on a heavy pair of socks and that fixed that problem. My warehouse regularly has oil on the floor and after 6 weeks, they slide around quite a bit. The rubber on the front part of the sole is literally coming off in chunks. My work has a smooth floor not even a bare concrete floor, and this is not expected. Unfortunately, I am 2 weeks out of my return window so now I can not return them or I would.

Not bad for cheap boots, but if you are used to a high heel this is not the boot for you.Sizing was right on, the boot is a little wider than I am used to.Photo is a comparison of a worn out no tread left timberland pro boot vs this boot.When I am wearing the boot, they feel as though I am missing 3/8" of heel height.

I work in construction and wear these boots 40 hours a week. Do not buy this product if you wear daily.Steel toe rubbed against top of foot with every step. After a couple weeks, I was walking differently to compensate for foot irritation. After a couple months my spine and hip had serious issues from walking incorrectly. Boots tore on the outside after short time.

I was looking for a cheap steel toe because my job requires me to but I didn't want to break the bank or go the cheap quality Walmart route so I decided to give these a shot and I can't complain. I ordered my normal boot size and it was perfect, I don't do a whole lot of walking or anything but I was surprised at how comfortable they are overall.

I ordered 11m because thats my size in boots.These were a little wide but not enough to cause discomfort so i kept them.Been wearing them to work for a week now and i have no complaints.I work in a steel fab shop and it can be rough on boots but i think these will do just fine

great work shoes, seems solidly built. I wear them upwards of 16 hours on rare occasions, and 13 hours average for 2 weeks. No issues to report. My only concern maybe that the rubber sole might be to hard do use outdoors on the ice. Would 5 star them if the soles had more gripping in winter.
