Essential for filtering sediment
I have no doubt this product filters sediment at the 30 micron size as specified. It does an excellent job. My well pump also delivers very fine red clay that will clog the 5 micron activated carbon filter GE FXWTC in a matter of hours. The solution is to put two filters in series with the 5 micron filter downstream from the 30 micron filter.

Good filters for the money. I have pretty bad well water and these clean it up well. I also use an extra one for when I fill my swiming pool. These are one of the only products I keep on a subscription. They are a standard household size and always seal up perfectly.

Fantastic Filters
These are the filters we use for our water filter in the house. We've been having to change is every couple weeks since we moved in to clean up the water and it's great to have a subscription. Having them show up on time is great and they work wonders and filtering the water

Competitive Price - Prompt Delivery - Good Filtration
We have well water at home. Without a particulate filter some dirt inevitably gets pumped out of the ground. The local big box stores sell these two-packs for about the same price but often don't have them in stock. If I order them for store delivery, it takes longer than just having these delivered right to my home via my Amazon Prime membership.Rather than going by GE's recommendation to replace the filter every three months, i just wait until the filter is clogged enough to affect our water flow, then I change it. Having this filter on our main water line keeps particles greater than thirty microns (less than half the diameter of a human hair) out of our water. That helps protect our toilet valves and ensures that we're not drinking or cooking with water that has sediment.
