Great pickups
I bought this set for an epiphone but I think I’m going to leave the ones in (I already had replaced them with a pretty good set) so now I need to get another guitar to put these in. That’s my story, at least. I had installed the same pickup in the bridge of a Les Paul and it sounds great. PAF tone, no potting, vintage wire. The real deal. I probably have used a dozen different pickups in various guitars and these are probably the best within a reasonable price range. I saw them reviewed on the Doug and Pat Show and they seemed pretty good. I have a Dean (!) pickup in the neck which was pretty hard to come by that sounds fabulous. Also a Doug and Pat find. Total black horse. Through a Marshall that guitar sounds really convincingly serious. I would recommend these pickups and obviously have bought them again. Now if I can come up with a guitar to pull them in…

Makes My ES-175 Sing!
Seth Lover was the original designer of the PAF (Patent Applied For) Humbucking pickups from Gibson in the late 50s. Humbuckers, as the name suggests, buck HUM, which is the bane of most electric guitarists. The PAF pickups have become legendary thanks to Seth. Now I cannot attest to real PAFs, I can say that I put these into my Chibson ES-175 and it brought the guitar to life. It literally sings now. I could not be more happy. I would highly recommend these for anyone that wants to upgrade their pickups, especially if you have a Chinese made Epiphone or Chibson. They drop right in, have shielded cables and are easy to install. Make sure you adjust the height relative to the bottom of your strings as specified by the type of guitar you have. This is really important for proper output and tone. Cheers.

Awesome Pickups for a Les Paul
I recently installed these Seth Lovers into my 2004 Gibson Les Paul Studio. The stock pups were fine for in your face playing but they lacked dynamics and the ability to use them across genres. These Seth Lovers are really something special. They can be very sweet, they can snarl with bare teeth and everything in between including country rock, blues and classic rock. I use a The Duellist dual OD pedal with a 4 knob Keeley Comp and the tones I get with these pups is amazing. If you're looking for a great sounding, very dynamic and versatile dual humbucker set of pups, get these. No regrets.

Great Pickups!
Great Pickups! I never liked the push/pull pots and coil taps in my 2012 Les Paul Standard, so rewired it '59 style and went with these pickups. They're close to the Burstbucker Pros but have a little more midrange and are warmer in the neck without the blooming bass. With 500k pots, the bridge pickup has a lot of headroom...it can scream. I don't notice it much clean but dirty, I'm playing at about 3 on the tone knob whereas I was playing at about 5 or 6. Hope this helps...

Unbelievable tone
I put these in a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro and rewired with new 500K CTS pots, 50's style. The end result was absolutely phenomenal. The neck pickup is very articulate and fat sounding, while the bridge pickup has that classic les paul lead tone. Could not be happier. The neck pup sounds a lot like the 50 classic that was in the LP, but the bridge pickup blows the BurstBucker3 out of the water.

Warm, rich sounds, quality build
Purchased these pickups for my son for a guitar rebuild project and boy was he happy. The sound is Rich and full and added a warm, deep tone to his guitar. These pickups are built exceptionally well and can be adjusted to ones liking... Great value for the money

Pickups are great, Amazon? a little disappointed
These Seymour Duncan pickups are the tone I was looking for to upgrade an Epiphone Dot (semi-hollow body) However, they were part of a large order I placed with Amazon, and opted for a payment plan using Affirm. The manufacturer's packaging was destroyed somehow in shipping and parts for the pickups were loose, and scattered around the box. To be safe, I wanted to do an even exchange for a set in undamaged packaging. Is seems because I used "Affirm" for payment, Amazon wouldn't do that. I would need to go through 1) the manufacturer, 2) the vendor shop they were sent from, and 3) Affirm.I just wanted an even exchange, not a return. I would think that should have been easy. I did contact Seymour Duncan, and they were very helpful, but the damage was caused by the way Amazon packaged it, allowing too much movement inside the Amazon carton it shipped in. I think Amazon should take a look at their exchange policy in situations like mine.
