Really good and easy to use telescope for beginners. Though the 6mm lens is hard to use and tripod is flimsy so wind makes it wobble when fully extended. Other than that really good for the price see the craters on moon clearly.

Excellent value for money

Good first telescope for bird/moon watching. This is my first telescope which was recommended by my son. He has a much larger one, but knows what I want to use mine for, and I didn't want to spend too much. I assembled it in about 20 minutes, even though the instructions are basic. You learn more from the pictures than the written content. It's been a bit cloudy today so I've only used it with the lenses 25mm and 6mm. I haven't tried the Barlow lens yet, as there's a huge hill about 6 miles away that stops any further terrestrial use. All lenses worked fine, and I had bought a mid range lens at 9mm, a SvBony wide angle goldline lens which is excellent.The 45° prism is also excellent, and is a perfect angle for me. Focusing is very smooth but you have to be presice, especially with the more powerful lenses.All lenses come with containers/ lens caps including the main tube. Other accessories are 4 x coloured viewing lens filters, a smartphone adapter (not tried yet), a finder scope and bag. More on these later. The tripod is easy to get level with the built in spirit levels. I found the telescope to be more stable just opening the legs unextended and putting it on a wall or solid garden table. The horizontal movement seems a bit stiff but I expect it to loosen up with use.Now, to the negatives! The finder scope is mounted on the left hand side for the user. I only have sight in my left eye, and you can only use your right eye to get near the finder scope. My wife tried to set it up in the right position but it wouldn't hold its place. It only takes the slightest touch and it moves again, despite how you tighten the holder. The cross hairs look about 1.5mm thick, and rotate as you focus them. You could hide a planet behind them! So the finder scope is useless! I have an air pistol holographic red dot scope with very long eye relief which I intend to make an 11mm dovetail rail with a base that will fit the bracket on the main tube. I will be able to set this up so I can see it with my left eye from behind the scope.Now to the bag. See photos above. The one included with my kit bare's no resemblance to the one in the description. Mine was a very cheap pocket bag that was so thin, it was more holy than godly! I took some pictures inside it facing the window. The were thin lines of holes, some in concentrated groups and many where the bag had been folded in the box. I wouldn't trust it at all to hold the weight of the tripod, telescope and accessories! They would drop through the bottom! I would be better getting 2 x 50p carrier bags from my local supermarket and put the tripod in the bottom and the telescope in the second one on top to protect it from scratches! Better still would be 2 of those padded freezer bags to protect it. At least they would be waterproof and shockproof!I expected a well padded bag with a divider to prevent the tripod damaging the telescope?!Anyway, apart from the bag and the finder scope issue, everything else is fine if the bag had been useable, it would have got 5 stars, as the finder on the left is my problem.So only 4 stars, as it was on a bargain offer.Update. I'm still waiting for a clear night sky to test the Barlow lens sky range distance! I have now tried the phone holder with 3 different phones in my household. It's useless! It doesn't adjust to any of them, as to get the phone camera lens over the telescope viewing lens always lines the clamp up with the power switch of all 3 phones of 3 different manufacturers! It was obviously made for phones with smaller screens and at least 10 years out of date! Having looked at how it's made, I could probably make a custom holder for my phone, but for anyone wanting to use it 'out of the box' ,forget it!Another 1/2 star lost for each of the following, due to me having to use a sports holdall with foam padding in to keep it in, and I'm going to have to make a custom phone holder that will hold the latest smartphones.Update.I did actually try and put the tripod and scope into the supplied bag, but just the weight of the tripod caused the bag to start tearing holes in the flimsy nylon fabric. So it's a pointless accessory. I'm sure the manufacturer could supply a decent custom bag or rucksak for this at only a few pounds extra. It would make a big difference to the user if they had something to store everything in safely.

Brought as a Christmas gift for grandchild he was very happy with it.

I bought this at Xmas and only just unpacked it due to the weather. I’m passed my 30 days return. The product is faulty and I need a replacement. It’s not clear how I do this. I’m happy to retract this review if you help me out. Amazon don’t make it easy a

This looks just what I wanted for my space mad grandson. Packed well and looks the part. However, it’s a Christmas present so I won’t know for a while how good it is performance wise. Looks robust and is lightweight so I’m sure an 8 year old will be able to use and transport it easily. High hopes!

A nice little piece peice of kit works well could be improved upon, jus tad flimsy . But a great first telescope for beginners, adults and children .
