Worth the money
This record player is good quality. Easy to operate. Light weight. The volume could be a bit louder but it’s enjoyable. I do like that it’s Bluetooth too & can also play other music like from your phone.

Vintage, Meet Modern Sleek
One of my favorite recent purchases. I've only recently gotten into the mid-century suburban home aesthetic, and it's products like this one that carried me over the fandom finish line. I've had records (and cassette tapes, and CDs) all my life, but it's been awhile since I've plucked out the vinyl from the closet. Now, I've consolidated my old collection with some newbies from the re-emerging record trend, and this player is the perfect product for the job. Unsurprisingly the audio quality is fantastic (it's Victrola, after all). Its size is perfect for my office -- large enough for display purposes, small enough for functionality of use within the space. The color options are really cool too. I was partial to several (somewhat hard to pick) but ultimately pulled the trigger on this one.

Great Value, But Tinny Speakers & Needle Skips
I ordered this as I've had a much larger, higher-quality RCA cabinet in the past that my dad sold out from under me. Finally was able to get back into vinyl after years of wanting too, so I picked this little player up as a good starter. Victrola has always been a bit of a budget player, so this fits their usual build. It's very much a basic, starter player. It does have Bluetooth, which is a nice feature. The headphone and line in/out with RCA hookups were a nice touch. Once I finally manage to find the same cabinet I had before, I'll likely move on from this one. But it makes a decent bookshelf player. The speakers are tinny, but aren't awful for their size. Would recommend Singing Wood speakers with RCA if you're on a budget, and RCA vintage wood housed speakers if you're willing to do some leg work and Edifier/Bose if you have enough to shell out. Even with the tinny speakers; it still flat out beats MP3 quality. For some reason, the player works just fine with all of my LPs, except for my new copy of David Bowie's "No Plan." I checked and the vinyl is pressed flat, not any thicker or thinner than Bon Iver, Flogging Molly, etc. Taped two pennies to the top of the needle for a little extra weight and that did the trick. Otherwise, without the additional weight "No Plan" keeps skipping.Purchased some additional replacement needles and will grab a cleaning kit in a bit. Works like a dream with the wooden over-ear Victrola Bluetooth headphones. Would recommend using them with their headphone jack if you want the best sound quality.

Pretty good for the price, but probably needs external amp/speakers
Ok, this is actually a pretty decent little unit for the money. I was seriously contemplating returning it because it sounded like it was skipping A LOT and/or the audio was cutting out (especially on quiet passages). I read through the reviews and saw that many people were complaining about the same thing, and when they contacted the company they were told that they should tape a light weight on top of the needle arm, like a penny (this was a common trick back when I was younger - 60's-70's when you didn't have an adjustment to increase the needle pressure). Many people said that it didn't work though. I have a professional audio background, and I felt like what I was hearing was maybe a cheap electronic circuit that was made to keep the small internal speakers from being overloaded and blowing them out - some kind of a dynamics controller like a compressor/limiter/gate device. So today I hooked up the external outputs on the back of the turntable enclosure to our entertainment system and it's speakers, and just turned down the volume knob on the turntable itself. WOW!! It works great now!!! I played about 6 or 7 albums - No skipping or volume dipping (except on the beginning of one of my old mid 70's records that was a little warped and I could actually see some gunk on it) and it sounds quite good (especially for what it is). So that's the deal - some sort of wonky electronics between the turntable and it's internal speakers. Not really very listenable without some external speaker system, but pretty decent otherwise. First time in decades that I've heard some of these albums on a turntable. I'll be keeping it.
