They do the job but we had to screw them into our fence in order for them to actually work. Once we screwed them in they have worked perfectly.

Worked great on my new pool fence, using it to hold both my pole and the vacuum hose. NIce quality metal, you bend it shape your fence, if you have a wider fence suggest using MIDE Products 110B-2 Aluminum Pool Accessory Hooks Pair, Fits 3/4-Inch to 1-1/8-Inch Wide Fences, 10-Inch Long, Black
