My GI doctor recommended this to help with radiation proctitis. Been using it for years. I think it helps. I also use it as a meal supplement if I miss a meal.

Tastes like barf, but feels good in your guts
I gagged through drinking this. Lots of ice helped. My guts felt great all day though after three days of IBS flare up. I would definitely drink this again based on how I felt later, but it was really really gross.

Yes This is Good
I usually buy this from the website. I have GI issues and periodically have to go on the Absorb Plus regime. It has helped me more than medical doctor has! LISTEN TO YOUR GUT with Joni Patel is the website I go to. Mini wrote the book I follow. I had access to the Universiety of Texas GI department here in San Antonio. After 2 yrs, the head of the GI dept. FIRED me as a patient! She said she couldn’t help me any,ore! I’m serious! It was Jinin’s book and ABSORB PLUS that gor my gut settled down. I swear this on my granddaughter’s life! If you’re having chronic IBS-D look into Jini’s program! And follow it! It’s a lot of shakes but worth it! Great tasting elemental diet product
I used this as an elemental diet ( mixed with water) for 30 days as a treatment for SIBO. I have hydrogen SIBO. I first tried two rounds of Xifaxan antibiotics which didn’t work for me as well as a Low Fod map diet. My last resort is an elemental diet. This is a great product and the flavor is great compared to some other elemental ‘s on the market. You do need to use the Unsweetened formulas so I recommend this one only. I found that one tub last me about 5 days for my goal of 3 shakes a day. Some days I would do 4 shakes a day at 3 scoops per serving. Recommends 4 scoops but I was also wanting to loose some weight. This worked out good for me. Once my 10 lbs was lost I upped my dose back up to the 4 scoops and 4 shakes a day to maintain my current wanted weight. I did add a multiple vitamin and a few other natural antibiotics with this. I did get the die off period from the SIBO and felt I needed a bit more magnesium than this product had in it. If anyone needs or wants to do an elemental I highly recommend this product. I’m hoping I have won this SIBO battle !!!

Tastes like liquid plasticizer
I’ve tried a couple of different elemental diet products and they all kind of taste awful. I think the makers of these products should consume a product for a month straight with no other form of sustenance. If they can do it, then they can say the product is market ready. This product is not market ready, it tastes like liquid plasticizer. I managed to consume 1 whole container by spiking it with ground vanilla bean, mace, and cinnamon. Tasted like mediocre eggnog. Please try harder during development, some of us have no choice but to consume these products. We’re already miserable, please don’t rub salt in the wound…

Tastes good. Is expensive.
AbsorbPlus French Vanilla tastes very good and is easy to use. It also appears to be easy on the gut system. However, the product information does not mention that it only has 10 servings in a 2.2 pound package. That works out to almost $7 per serving. Doesn't work for longtime use.

Could be more truthful about containing dairy
I ordered this product from Amazon and I feel that the product listing on Amazon is not completely truthful. This product claims to be for elemental diets and to not contain lactose or other things such as gluten. For this reason, this seemed to be a good fit for my elemental diet. Once I ordered this product, I see clearly on the back label that it contains dairy. While it may be lactose-free, it is not dairy free, so this will not work for my elemental diet. I feel that this product could make it much clearer that it contains dairy and is not fit for all elemental diets. Also, this product is very expensive and was a waste of money for me.

GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT TASTE
I have used this product (UNSWEETENED VANILLA) off and on for 5 years now. It has helped me stay nourished when I couldn't eat much and when I was traveling and not able to eat at restaurants or friends' houses. I keep a tiny travel bottle filled with olive oil and container of Absorbplus in my purse all the times.
