I like this case. It works great, has passthrough sync and it has an iPhone charge port NOT a USB charge port. It even has a built in magnet for car magnet mounts. The battery is excellent and gives you a full charge extra, and more. I typically get two full charges out of the case. But the case does not last structurally. I am on my 5th case for my original SE. The button covers break and fall off. The snap on the top piece that keeps the phone secured in the case does not last (the tabs break). Once this happens the case needs to be replaced.These are inexpensive since the phone size is now obsolite, so I can't complain too much. 20 bucks every six or eight months is still a good deal for the case.I'll be upgrading to an SE 2020 model next year, so I'm on my LAST case for my original SE. Even with the case not lasting, I still think it's the best battery case out there for the iPhone SE (orginal) or the iPhone 5.

Seems well made, fits the phone great, pretty incongruous overall. But my one disappointment is in its operational design. The user has to watch the phone to see when the battery is getting low, then press the 'charge' button on the case - which will charge the phone and then shut off. If the phone battery is mostly charged, the case only powers for a short time, then turns off.In my case, the phone battery is old and weak so what I really want is to turn on the battery case and have it pump power into the phone like it's plugged in to a normal charger, acting like a big replacement battery.This isn't a knock on the battery case, it's working as designed. And for phones with a solid battery, the way it works it probably great. Just not so much for me and what I wanted to do. The option to have it turn on and stay on would make it a five-star product in my mind.

Yes, it's heavy, but it does a great job of keeping the phone from dying. I also like that it's magnetic and will stick to my car mount as long as the road isn't too rough. But I have two major complaints. First, there's really no way to get the phone out again without breaking the cap. You know, sometimes you have to take your phone out of its case; in this case, that will be the end of the cap's functionality. And second, the power cord won't fully enter the charging slot in the phone when the phone is in this case. It's enough to charge the phone (and case) when the unit is stationary, but if it gets jiggled, as it will in a car, the power cuts in and out constantly, which is super annoying and lengthens charging time. They should've designed it with a bigger hole over the charging slot.

I like the battery function of this case - works great for keeping my phone charged when my iPhone SE can no longer do the job itself. However, after <2 months of use, I have to stop using this case. The top part is very flimsy and falls off whenever I drop my phone (see image). My phone screen is cracked now for the first time in 2 years, and I've dropped it in other cases with no issues. Most recently, the top plastic part of the case fell off and cracked, and now I can't get it to reattach to the main part of the case. Unfortunately it seems like every iPhone SE charging battery case on Amazon is made by the same manufacturer with this case design, just sold by different companies. Would love to hear a recommendation for something else, otherwise I'll go back to my old case and carrying around a battery pack 24/7.

The "Battery Case for iPhone 5/5S/SE, YISHDA 4000mAh Rechargeable Extended Battery Charging Case" seemed to work great for just over a month, today it quit charging my wife's phone. I hold the button to start charging, and it seems to start, but the phone battery level goes down instead of up and then it quits "charging" in about 30 seconds.When I extracted the phone to charge it directly, I also noticed that the wireless signal improved significantly out of the case.

So far, I’m impressed. Had this since May and it’s been working strong. I purchased another brand that was similar a year ago and it worked for two days then stopped working. So far so good with this. I get about 4 full charges for my SE when it gets to about 10%. It gets a little warm when charging but nothing terrible.

The case and battery work quite well and I am very satisfied. The only downside I can report is the obvious and necessary weight that the battery has and that when the battery is charging the phone will typically not send or receive calls. I guess the process hinders the antenna. Aside from these quirks it provides the power I need to get through the day without dragging a power bank and cord along. Exactly what I was looking for.

Bought this for adding battery life to my 3 year old iPhone se, which I was having to charge 3-4 times a day. Quite tough to pull the case lid off. When I did, the clips which secure it look pretty fragile. So I decided I would leave the phone in the case for good if possible. I snapped the lid back on and charged it up. It charges both the phone and the case. Also handy is I can sync the phone with iTunes when I plug it into my laptop, without removing the case. I find the charge is lasting nearly 2 days. When the phone discharges to under 20 per cent, I push the button on the back of the case, to recharge the phone back to about 100 per cent. Eventually the case runs out of charge itself. Then pressing the button does nothing, so I need to recharge the case again. I’ve dropped my phone on the floor a couple of times and the case protected it fine. The case cleverly leaves a tiny ridge all the way around the screen of my phone, which helps protect the glass from smashing if I drop it face down. 4 stars rather than 5 because of the delicate, breakable-looking clips on the lid. So far that’s proved not to be an issue for me because I’ve not taken the case off since I bought it. Also perhaps I hoped the case charge would last a bit longer. That’s probably a reflection of the poor state of my phone’s battery than the fault of the case. This is the 3rd case I’ve ordered from Amazon. The first one only worked for one charge. The second didn’t even turn up. So this case has proved by far the best. Cheaper than replacing the battery. Much cheaper than buying a new phone!

Bought 2 of these cases. First one died after 2days tried to send it back to amazon instructions that came with returns form very poor didn't explain where or how to send it as it was not allowed to go through the post. After much chasing around I took it to our local amazon distribution centre and left it there much to their annoyance. The second battery case died today 4 days since it was delivered.Totally unimpressed with this product and amazon.

Giving this half marks. It kind of works... but also not exactly well. Was hoping to be able to put the phone in the cover and never take it out. But as usual with non Apple charging goodies after about a month I got the “this accessory may not be supported” with every charger I tried other than the short original Apple charger on a 240v usb plug. A bit annoying as all my other cables work fine with the phone. And work fine with the case when the phone isn’t inside of it. So I have to charge them separately every night, so not ideal in a world that relays on usb. Would be awesome if it just had a usb-c port or something.Wouldn’t buy it again to be honest.

Best case so far, I have an old phone and have had many cases including known brands. My phone battery is useless but this will fully charge the phone up to 3 times from low battery warning.

the battery probably works fine but the top cover of the case was broken on arrival. There are very small clips that are supposed to hold it in place and one of them was snapped off. Sadly I can't recommend this case which is a shame because the amount of power it holds, the feel in the hand (although it is rather thick and bulky at the back) and the magnetic function are all good points.
