Ummm...My kids are making thier own lunches!
This book is fantastic and exactly what my family needed to jump start our healthy lunch regimen for the school year! My 10-year old read the book, gave me her shopping list, and has been on a mission all week to make her lunches look like the pictures! Now, the 8-year old is in on the action! She made her own wrap this morning and even packed the celery! I call that inspiration! The week 1 - 5 format is easy (somebody get me that button!) and has been a great way for my kids to get in on our family efforts to eat healthy! I am totally looking forward to the next five weeks and then...we can start over! I don't usually make comments but I guess I just wanted let you all know that as a parent trying to get three pizza-loving kids off to school in the morning..I am thankful for the 5-Minute Lunchbox!

Hopefully, it'll get easier as he gets older!
It is a nice book with easy recipes, good variety, and great pictures. It offers many options that are great when we are at home. But my son is 5 years old and goes to public school and has a little trouble managing some of these foods on his own. His lunch box and back pack sometimes come home messy from him not putting the lids back on his containers very well.Packing lunches for little people is challenging. I'm sure as he gets older, these meals will become easier for him to manage by himself.

More than Nutritional Lunches
The 5-Minute Lunches is a real treasure! When we think of lunchboxes, we often think of school kids and these are great fun for kids...but are also super for any age! I love the variety and colorful lunches. This book has hidden treasures which are things like teaching one how to plan a nutritionally sound meal, how to prepare ahead (to save time at actual meal time) and how to pack the food so the exciting lunches arrive as fun and tasty as when they were packed! I raised my family without knowing how to do all that's in the book but I'm going to use it for myself (and when my grandkids come to visit!)...who doesn't enjoy funtastic meals that help you keep your healthier-me resolutions?!I love that there's a picture for EVERY lunch and substitutions for things I swap out if I like. I've given them as gifts!

Low-quality and basic.
I have several lunch "cookbooks", and I have to say that this one was disappointing. I really hated the format and production value-- it looked and felt cheap (big, blurry pictures, thin pages, and dated fonts and formatting), but was TWICE the price of another, much better quality book I bought at the same time: Little Bento: 32 Irresistible Bento Box Lunches for Kids . The ideas also weren't particularly interesting-- I felt like she spent a lot of time proselytizing about needing to create a healthier lifestyle (which I already try to do, so I found it redundant and unnecessary), and didn't put as much interest and creativity into the book itself. Not terrible, but for the money, a terrible value.

Good for Non-Picky eaters
It’s good and given good choices for the non-picky eater. I loved the weekly meal plan with shopping list. Was easy to follow. Sadly, my kid is picky and many of these options did not appeal to her.

Too short, Too limited
I was hoping to love this cookbook. My son is starting Kindergarten soon so it's my first time packing a lunchbox. He's a picky eater so I knew every recipe wouldn't work for him, but to flip through and see only two recipes that would work. I had to return it (even though it cost me $5 to do so). There are a lot of bean recipes (I've offered him beans many times & he always gags), as well as condiments (mustard, mayo, ketchup). There are substitutions for vegan, nut allergies, & things like that, but no alternate suggestions or ways to expand or change up the recipes so you literally have 25 recipes with little or no variation. It's also a very, very short book. I knew it was only 92 pages, but didn't realize that that includes everything (even the blank pages). The actual book is only about 70 pages long (pages with page numbers), maybe 80 (if you count the introduction & cover pages).

Refreshing, awesome, easy... What more can I say???
I bought this book for myself and my family. I have a young grandchild and I know getting children to eat GOOD food is not always easy. I was hoping this book would give me some ideas to incorporate nutritious food into his life as he grows. The suggestions and ideas in this book are phenomenal. These recipes are colorful, easy, fast and they entice children to love them.We liked the book so much that we have purchased nine more and sent them through Amazon to everyone we know with small children. We even put them in gifts for two new moms (one mom-to-be) that we know.

Good book
Great lunches, some a little too much for a kids lunch box but still has great ideas that my kids love. I tweaked a lot of these recipes and made them my own but the book still gave great recipes. I also love the organization of the book into weeks 1-5 and also gives a shopping list for each week.
