Iams Grain Free Naturals Dry Dog Food

I purchased this Iams Grain Free specifically for my elderly (13 yrs) sheep dog who began scratching/ licking himself excessively all over, several months ago. I've tried different shampoos, topical ointments;etc., with no real relief. I have him on glucosamine and salmon oil too. He seems to like this food fine- not super crazy about it, but it's a big change, as he'd been on his other food for his entire life. I do see a lessening in his licking & scratching. Time will tell if this is the answer to our problems. I'm hopeful. I do like the price and I went with Iams- as opposed to other grain free foods- due to their name/good history. Also, it helps that I can find it in most stores and easily purchase it here at Amazon.

What can I say when you buy healthy products that are good for you they sometimes don't taste the best. Just like food for us people when you take away lots of the good parts and make it healthier to eat it doesn't taste as good as the fattening version. It smells like fish but is a chicken flavor. I laugh when my one little dog eats it as he eats one small peice at a time and turns his head and stares at me like he is saying.....how can you feed me this stuff.....don't you love me. Unfortunaly my puppies (10 yr. old puppies) have allergies to many things and so they have to eat the no wheat, corn, soy type dog food. I know how it is as some of the diet food I ate taste like cardboard. I know it is made well, and has what my dogs need to live a healthier life and it is what they are going to get. I just have a fussy thin dog, lol. The other one eats anything but fish. He is very heavy. He devours your food. I will keep buying as all the different brands I have tried they didn't like either. I am sticking with IAMS as I know it is made well and I want the best for my little puppies. Thanks IAMS....

I'm raising a Standard Poodle. I started him on this at about 6 or 7 months old and he's doing great at 1 year 5 months.Very important in the large breeds to allow the skeletal frame to develop before they start packing the weight of muscle into it. These guys are runners and can fly! Burning calories like a Pregnant elephant! Especially during a growth spurt.He is using every bit of nutrient in this formula. His stool is compact but not constipated. Although I do have to supplement occasionally with some fruit or more vegetables, even a grain biscuit cookie now and then. He's gained frame and muscle but has maintained the same weight as his first checkup add1 pound.Lean and mean running machine!Happy dog, full of energy! Not bloated! Not a lot of fillers in this stuff. He doesn't go all day long! Once a day sometimes twice. No problems.Veterinarian and breeder (AKC champ) says he looks great and he's in top health!We look forward to a long future with the smartest retriever in the world. Yes, I said retriever....

I've bought all the expensive foods in stores, even on chewy.com . She does not do well with ANY food besides this one. I've even looked for more expensive, higher protein brands, but I keep coming back to this. I stumbled upon this by accident in Target, and ended up buying it via Amazon so I wouldn't have to go all the way to the store to get it. This is the only dry food my dog is actually excited about eating. She has severe allergies to so many things and this is finally the first food that she's happy with.

Holy cow! I'm trying to SLOWLY ease my dogs off their current food and on to this and they will have NONE of it. They pick around the food and ONLY eat this one! I gave them a taste when it came in yesterday and the gobbled it right up and stood at the counter where I set the bag of food just crying and begging for more. I will have a hard time SLOWLY transitioning this for sure....This from one of my dogs who's so darn picky with dog food who rarely finishes his bowl. Got this in response to the vet telling me my dogs had allergies - likely to grains. I am sold....so glad I made this choice for them!

This dog food has been the best thing to happen for my 2.5 year old Pitbull. Grain free, yet he loves the taste and does not give him gas. I had him on Taste of the Wild but his gas was unbearable, and this did the trick. Amazon is by far the cheapest place to find it from what I've seen, but I would like a subscribe & save option!

I just spent $15 on a 4 lb bag of food!!!I realize that I did not check the weight on this & that is my responsibility, but when you've purchased the big bags for the same cost you...assume. Ridiculous that I had to even give it a star.

My dog started on this after being on an all chicken diet for a few years so I was worried she'd get sick. But she transitioned fine. There isn't too much waste either which is good for cleaning up.

My dogs love a mixture of grain free brands so I entice them and buy different brand and flavours on sale and they have a great smorgasbord of flavours
