The printed instructions are not perfect, but the video is better. Very solid hand truck.
They provide 4 of the larger washers, but don't mention in printed instructions that they're not needed for all wheel types. If you have the smaller 8 inch wheels you only need to use two. It also comes with 4 smaller washers which you may only need two of, but the instructions don't show this as optional. The video explains this and is much easier to understand. One last gripe before the good stuff is the cotter pins. I just found it a little awkward to slip in them in and would prefer a different design, or at least a deeper cutout on the wheel so they're easier to slip in.It's a very solid feeling hand truck and I've only used it a little, but can tell that it's going to last a long time. I bought the stair climber kit too and it was pretty easy to install. Yes, you can install it after fully assembling the rest of the hand truck. For being almost entirely metal and as sturdy as it is, it's fairly light. Glides really well and the ergonomics are nice. This is a nicer hand truck than I probably need, but it seemed worth the money. Hopefully this is the last one I need to buy.

ASSEMBLY DIRECTIONS NOT CLEAR OR CORRECT
Below is what I sent to Customer Service for Magliner about the assembly Instructions for this unit. IF you purchase this I suggest you print out and keep this review to help you to assemble this unit. You can save yourself the 1.5 hours of your life that I used to figure the below information out.To customerservice1. On Step 5 you tell us to "securely tighten all bolt at this time". IF YOU DO (meaning me.. not you), you may keep the two aluminum supports (Parts 14 & 15) out of position so when you try to install carter pin (part 23) in Step 6, you can not get it in. I tried for 1/2 hour to install the carter pin before I realized that I had to loosen the bolts to allow parts 14 and 15 to move closer together in order to get the second carter pin (part 23) in.2. On step 6 it has several mistakes. You list Part 24 ("Thick Washer - 5/8") and Part 25 ("Thin Washer -5/8") as 4 each even though you can only install 2 each. In step 6 you are shown to install 1 (Part 25) washer, and 2 (Part 25) washers. IF YOU DO, you can not possibly install the wheel because the axle does not come through the thin washer (Part 24) enough to install the carter pin (part 23). You must leave out 1 thin washer (part 24) from both sides in order to install the wheels. I suggest to leave out the Thin Washer (Part 25) on the inside of the wheels. I believe it is not needed.. Please Fix in Instructions.3. In Parts List you show (Part 24) "Thin Washer - 5/8" and (Part 25) "Thick Washer - 5/8" This is misleading since thickness of washers is not obvious to the eye during installation. It leads to misunderstanding ESPECIALLY in light of #1 and #2 above. I suggest they be relabeled as "Small Washer - 5/8" and "Large Washer - 5/8" It is much easier to understand and will prevent people like me from wondering what the instructions mean. The finished product is very very good. Make sure you install the axle in the correct hole. The hole changes depending on the size of the tire on your cart. I had to change mine during assembly. As soon as I completed this I used it to cart my water heater outside for disposal. It was super easy to maneuver and made it very easy to use.

Excellent durable product
Very lightweight and indestructible. I use this for moving items up and down steps in my house and use it on jobs. Pops easily in my truck being very low weight is spite of its load rating. This two wheeler will outlive me.

Probably best 2-wheel cart line available
This lightweight 2-wheeler fits my needs perfectly. Well built. Wheels each have two sealed ball bearings. Very rigid and easy to handle and to put into vehicle for transport. For this particular model, the instructions are skimpy and illustrations not as clear as they could be. The instructions show a large spacing washer installed at each wheel. Either the axles were drilled incorrectly for the roll pins that prevent axle from moving or turning, or the instructions were for a different model. Assembling per instructions was not possible as the spacing washers were too thick and prevented the wheel securing cotter pins from being inserted.Leave out the spacing washer -- but be sure to use the thin washers on each side of the wheels -- and everything fits fine.Otherwise, assembly is pretty straightforward.Notes: Using a ratcheting box end wrench works better than a socket wrench, e.g., GearWrench, Blackhawk or similar. The screws that hold the tubular handle on have #3 Phillips recesses. #2 Phillips may slip out. I used flat washers under the nuts for these handle securing screws. Use a soft-faced hammer when assembling to prevent denting aluminum. A block of soft wood between the part and your steel hammer works fine, too.

Takes a while to put together but Magliners last forever. Worth it.
As Amazon usual it arrived on time properly packaged with all parts,Magliners are the best handtrucks you can buy when properly assembled and therein was the reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5.The instructions are a masterwork of incomplete and somewhat incorrect instructions. These products were likely designed to be assembled using specialized tools and a defined sequence of assembly that is not evident until one attempts to do it following the instructions provided. Best example I can give is the fact that the parts list describes fasteners in inches while I used metric wrench to assemble. I appreciated the extra washers but doesn’t Magliner have enough confidence in QC to supply the proper amount? Driving the odd shaped cotter pins took some thought as well. To tell the truth it was fun like a simple puzzle because I knew I’d get a good result if I could figure out how to put it together. Got it together and it’s a typical Magliner, light, sturdy, precisely made. But what a PITA to assemble.

Awesome Hand Truck
Purchased on sale for $185 I really love this hand truck. I did additionaly purchase the C5 Stair Climber Kit as well.Fairly easy assembly even without the instructions. I think the reason why consumers end up with extra washers is because this hardware kit is supplied with other models as well where the additional washers are actually needed. Magliner HMK111AA1 model with the 8" Mold-on rubber wheels accept 1 thin washer on the inner side of the bearing and a thick one on the outside and under the inserted cotter pin. Perfect fit and function, I don’t understand why so many people find this assembly difficult. This one has non marking tires, something Chinese could probably never figure out! The only think I am somewhat concerned about is the surface flaws that run into the material of the nose plate at the bottom where possible fracture of the plate could occur under stress. I might just be paranoid about this one though, please check the pictures, 5 Stars.

finally a sturdy dolly
chose this one because it is lightweight and 8" wheels are sturdy, don't go flat and roll off rims, worth it for that alone

Be patience when installing
Take a bit of effort and patience when installing the hand truck especially when you are adding the stairs climber onto it. The stairs climber came missing the four nuts and bolts (had to went to Homedepot to get it, pain in the butt). Everything is not exact fit so make sure installing all nuts and bolts before tighten Everything up. I end up using two small washer (shims) on the wheels. No way to put one big one inside and a small one outside. Even the manual said shims are installed according to each hand truck so you just had to figure what works o yours. Overall very sturdy hand truck. Very happy with the products other than the missing parts.
