BabelBabel is the second studio album by Mumford & Sons, produced by Markus Dravs. Garnering huge success, the album topped the charts of Billboard Hot 100 in the US and the UK Albums chart. In the first week after its release, the album scored whopping sales of 600,000.Babel won the Album of the Year award at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards and was nominated Album of the Year at the 2013 Brit Awards.Music for the SoulThe album kicks off with "Babel", a strumming rich track with sweeping vocals, the perfect starting anthem. In the terms of love, their lead single, "I Will Wait" stands out high. Clean and hearty, the upbeat, indie-rock influenced track wins with its earnest lyrics, "But I'll kneel down, wait for now. And I'll kneel down, know my ground".But it's "Lovers Eyes" that really tugs at the strings of the heart, with cellos, banjos and accordions setting the perfect backdrop to the words about the price of love and the rage and guilt that follows. The finale, "Not With Haste", gives a nostalgic feel with its somber tune, carries you away with it's neat vocals and reminds you to be who you are, to fulfill your dreams and be free.Mumford & SonsMumford & Sons was formed in December 2007. They released their debut album, "Sigh No More" in October 2009 in UK and Ireland and in the US in December 2010. The band instantly gained worldwide recognition raking the top spots in the charts. They have been nominated for and won several awards including, the British Album of the Year and Best British Group at the 2011 and 2013 Brit Awards. They also won the International Rock/Pop Group at the 2014 Echo Awards and the International Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards.Enjoy the best of Mumford & Sons by buying the Babel Music album at online store today!

One of the best albums I have in my collection!
And I am over 50 so I do have a few! When I bought this I also bought three other cds which I'm afraid, as much as I like them, have taken a back seat. I just can't stop playing this. I'm not going to bore you with a break down of each track. This album will have a universal appeal. If you're thinking about buying it but not 100% sure then please just buy it; even if it's just on my say so. A truly delightful album with a good mix of tempos and styles. So many tracks keep blowing me away. Awesome...... and make sure you buy the deluxe vesion with the additional tracks - you'll be glad you did.

I can't believe I never bought Mumford & sons sooner!!!
I had heard of this group briefly, but to my shame had not listened to any of their albums. After seeing them on the Brits 2013, I really liked "I will wait" and thoroughly enjoyed it, and decided to look on Amazon and listen to the snippets of their albums, Sigh no more and Babel. I liked every track, and I mean every track!! I bought them both including Babel with bonus tracks. Marcus Mumford has a unique voice but as a band they sing brilliantly together. They are easily identifiable due to their songwriting and vocals and each song tells a story!

A perfect follow up
I shan't lie, I love Mumford & Sons. This album was all that I was hoping for. I'd heard some of it before release as they'd been playing it live, however other tracks on there (such as Broken Crown) have been modified from their original recordings a few years ago to what you hear now. It's also nice that they're opening up the vocals to other members of the band - namely the bonus track 'For Those Below'.They are one of the few bands who sound as good (perhaps even better) live than they do pre-recorded. Their show at the O2 was brilliant and a great way to showcase this album. If they get this much better with two albums, I cannot wait to find out how good their third will be.

Missing something
I loved their first album and played it almost every day for more than a year. This has some stadium rousers but lacks any "White Blank Page", "Thistles and Weeds" or "After the Storm". My favourite tracks are on the bonus disk and without them I don't consider the album that good. The next album will either make them or break them for me.
