Saved over $100 and easy to install
The night before we were to take my son's 99 Suburban in for its annual inspection, we realized that his third break light was deader than dead. Not single light. The local stores wanted $150, and were closing within the hour. I swapped MY 99 Suburban light with is (which passed inspection the next day), and ordered this one from Amazon. A few days later, it arrived, and was super easy to install. The hardest part was pulling down the header panel slightly to access the connector ( I hate messing with header panels if they aren't sagging, it's like asking for trouble). SO it took a few days to arrive, and went on without any issue. Two screws and a connector, and save yourself over $100.

Too bright/swapped to smoke lens
This was super easy to install but I soon realized even tho it matched my taillights it was too noticeable. I then ordered the smoke lens version and all is well now. I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever but I was able to install this with ease. Just don't tighten down too much as you might crack the lens and be sure to tighten each side a little as you go. Great product/great price

Installed this on my 1995 GMC Jimmy. Mine is unusual as the brake light is attached to the hatch window glass instead of the vehicle itself. I had to trim away some of the plastic around the mounting holes on the light to get it to sit flush to the vehicle molding pad which was expected as this light is used in many applications by GM. I saw a video about attaching a piece of string or wire to the old light harness to pull up through wire opening, so I could pull new harness back through during installation. I retained the the factory harness and used heat shrink butt splices to attach to new light. I just shortened the wires to get rid of excess slack. 3M double sided tape was included for a water tight seal. Worked great. Seems like a good quality light, and the price was excellent.

lasted 1 summer 4 months and now flashes erratic and some leds don't work
