First, why choose the brand VstarCam? I chose it because it was a very inexpensive option, the only one I found that doesn't only allow you to connect from your phone, but also has a Windows & Mac client that lets you connect from your desktop/laptop computer. That's why this gets 5 stars from me.I got this on sale for $15. At that price, it's a good deal if you don't expect great HD quality and decent night vision. Full retail price of $29.95 is not worth it. At that price, you can get much much better vstarcam products for just a few dollars more.Another thing to be aware of: These can be a real pain in the a** to initially setup. It took me about an hour and I'm very tech savvy in general and with network configurations in particular. In my case, the camera would not automatically connect to the 2.4GHz network I have, which runs at the same time as my 5Ghz network. Most devices that only support 2.4Ghz, like this product, will intelligently choose the 2.4Ghz connect option. Not this camera. I had to go into my router to reconfigure my 2.4Ghz network to broadcast on a different SSID, connect my phone to that network, and then configure the camera via the Eye4 App. Only then would configuration complete successfully.Once that was done however, I was able to connect my phone back to my 5Ghz connection and still use the camera as it was now a member of the network. And when I started up the desktop version of the Eye4 app, it then automatically detected the camera and works as expected.If you're not comfortable digging around in your wifi router settings like this, I would strongly advice you to look for a camera that supports 5Ghz networks directly. May cost a bit more though. Otherwise, if you don't mind some trial and error and reconfig of your network and patience with the process, and don't need a high quality image, AND you get this at a great dealt like the $15 sale I found on Amazon, then this is absolutely a 5-star option for your needs.

I am tech saavy. This camera is NOT easy to install nor could i get it working using the included instructions, or the instructions they emailed me out of left field "if you cannot get it working, here is a copy of the instructions"...red flag...do not purchase this.

will not connect to 2.5 WiFi, will not connect wirelessly and will not connect with easy install. App closes out when trying to connect. Using iPhone X and followed all instructions.

It will not install. Have tried numerous times, and the audio when trying to connect, is horrible!!! Would not recommended.

Can be tricky to setup, have patience , if for any reason you plan not to use the holder ( camera can remove from white base easily) keep the base or take a picture of the barcode. This is the unique identifier for the camera.

The picture isn’t the most clear, but good for the money and it’s purposes

It works great as a doggy cam in my living room while I’m at work or away. It has good quality and night vision.
