Great under a helmet
I own two of the headbands and I love them but I needed something to wear under my helmet while mountain biking. I tried using the headband but it was hard to get it to stay and fit right, plus it got saturated pretty quickly and started dripping into my eyes. This cap solves both of those problems and works great. It's essentially the headband with a mesh top. I thought it might get hot and uncomfortable but with the air through my helmet it feels good. Plus, it holds/wicks a lot of sweat (more surface area). It didn't get saturated over 2 hours of riding and 20 miles so I was pleased with that. I sweat a lot, especially here in Texas where it gets really hot. There is nothing more annoying then sweat in your eyes while riding, so this is well worth the investment for piece of mind. For normal use without a helmet, I still prefer the regular headbands.

Works perfect
I wear this under my hockey or mountain bike helmet and it does a great job of keeping the sweat out of my eyes. Not sure why the description has changed recently to be a women's item, I am a man with a large head and it fits great.

Pretty Good Skull Cap But Runs Very Small In Size
I have a few Halo Skull Caps and am pleased with the quality - As a person who is incredibly heat intolerant and sweats outside during the dog days of summer like a monsoon this particular cap made sense on multiple levels.* SPF factor of 30* Micro Mesh breathes and allows for evaporation and natural cooling* Sweat Diverter is patented by Halo and keeps perspiration out of your eyesI'm not quite sure if I really like the rubber sweat diverter, I do prefer the Halo Protex Skull cap because it's larger and has ties which I like. These caps run very, very tight. But they're so light and airy you're used to the ultra snug fit in no time. As for the "sweat diverter" it might take some getting used to, but the rubber is extremely soft - however it still leaves a red mark on your forehead which takes a bit of time to disappear.Perfect for under a helmet, a bike ride, or hanging out on a hot day these really do perform as promised. They're made in the USA and the finishing and stitch quality are superb. They may cost more than others but those issues stated above make them worthwhile for me to pay a little more. The only complaint I have is once again the small size. I'm a head shaver and this model is snug as in second skin snug, I'm not sure how guys with hair would be able to wear these in complete comfort. That said due to their popularity it appears to be no problem whatsoever.Halo products are made from their Patented "DRYLINE" materials which in addition toantimicrobial and odor elimination properties is made of 63% Nylon 23% Polyester and 14% Lycra.Remember to only hand wash or machine wash on cool settings and never use the dryer, always air dry.

This skull cap is perfect! I have to wear a CPAP mask and ...
This skull cap is perfect! I have to wear a CPAP mask and chinstrap at night and the straps were leaving permanent indentations in my hair style. So I put this skull cap on first, then the CPAP mask and chinstrap. Problem solved! The cap is very well made and even has a yellow Sweat Block Seal (silicone, I think) inside the front edge. Even though I don't sweat when I sleep, the silicone helps keep the cap in place. The tag recommends wearing the cap with the yellow Sweat Block Seal centered against your forehead and 1/2" above your eyebrows. I wear mine pushed up a bit so that it just covers my hair. The cap is made of a good quality, breathable fabric -- fabric content 63% Nylon, 23% Polyester & 14% Lycra. The tags say it is "hand wash cold, hang dry." The tag also says that it has a "1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY against manufacturing defects."I have attached photos of front & back view, a close-up of the yellow Sweat Block Seal and a close-up of the fabric.I'm thinking of purchasing a couple more of these in different colors! Love it!

IT ACTUALLY WORKS!
I thought for sure the sweat seal band of these Halo products was a gimmick, but then I tried it and... IT IS NOT! It actually works. On a super hot, muggy day, no headband/skullcap combination could keep sweat out of my eyes on a bike right. Enter this Halo Skull Cap. IT REALLY DOES WORK. Not a single drop of sweat in my eye whatsoever. I am sold. I’ll likely be buying nothing but Halo products in the future. I also do highly recommend the Skull Cap over the sweatband alone- as I’ve started moving in that direction recently. Skull Caps have the added benefit for guys like me (not a ton of hair) of keeping my dome from burning— but also, on buggy night rides keeping the bugs off your head! Bonus!! The only downside to these Halo products is that you do end up with a small indention in your forehead for a bit after you take it off... but it goes away pretty quickly- it’s usually gone by the time I get out of the shower after a ride. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

As advertised. Works extremely well.
Second one I have purchased - first one lasted about two years of 3-4 weekly rides. I have a larger head and the fit was snug but not too much so. Very secure. Love this cap for biking under the helmet. Sweat channel works well for the most part and the fabric quality is excellent and stretchy. Fabric also provides breathability and faster drying. For my needs: protection for my bald head from the helmet and sweat absorbtion/eye avoidance, this cap is excellent at each of those. Would buy again immediately if lost or damaged. Recommended.
