OMOTOR Tailgate Backup Camera for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 Black Tailgate Backup Reverse Handle with Camera

Installed this backup camera on my 2008 Tacoma. Installation went very well and the quality of the camera was okay and the tailgate handle worked as it should. Until about the month later the camera quit working on me. You get what you pay for i guess. Tried contacting the seller and have hear nothing.

The camera and wiring took me about half an hour to install. It may be more or less depending on how you route your wiring. The camera works as it should and has good picture and night vision. All of the wiring comes with a plastic sleeve for protection. Over all, I am very satisfied with the product.

The handle looks fine the camera though and the connector to the harness are bad quality, the connector can be ripped off if you are not careful when disconnect it and the camera have this quality certify when the wires clearly are not well soldered or loose.

I actually only bought this kit for the camera and video cable. The camera is an OEM style and fits well with other tailgate handles. I swapped out the included tailgate handle for a locking one from Pop and Lock which, frankly, is better quality than this one. Overall, very happy with the kit though.

Pro’s about this product. The handle and the sleak design over this product is amazing and very well put together. Another thing is their is plenty of wire to run it properly to make sure your not short on wire. A con of this product is the camera. Don’t get me wrong the camera does its job and overall the camera is really good but when it is very sunny outside it can have some areas that can be not so good till your right up on them. The camera is great for backing into spots and seeing how far back u need to get on certin things. I give this product a 4/5. I overall love the camera and how easy it is to install atleast for someone with prior decent car knowledge on installing radio’s or running wires

I'm using this back up camera for a06 yacoma v6,I had a HD water proof camera seating on top the license plate, and had better picture,This one is pretty good though,

Very easy install if you have an understanding of how things work, hooked up to ilx-650 no issues wired into reverse lights on 2011 Tacoma. You will have to run wire from tailgate to aftermarket radio. Follow write up on tacomaworld. Works great, looks factory.

Installed the camera and was mad at myself for not doing it earlier. After 1 month it has quit working. I sent omotor a message through amazon hopefully they will make it right. If not I'll do what I should have done before and buy a nice camera from a reputable company.
