Works great and fixtures look super clean. Easy install!
I just finished installing these in my kitchen. It took me about 15 minutes to install all three (I guess I have a spare now). I installed them into 5" cans. The hardest part was recognizing that i had to move the mounts to the 5" part of the frame since these shipped set up for 6" cans. The previous owner of my home did not do a great job installing the cans originally. There was visible patchwork around the rim and the housings didn't sit flush against the ceiling. Since these Hyperikon fixtures were designed for both 5" and 6" cans, they have a very thick trim that covers almost all of the defects from the original installation. It looks so much better! See attached image.I purchased the 3000K units. The light color is exactly what I wanted. They are quite a bit brighter than my previous halogens though. I'm not sure if they are perfect or a touch too bright. I'm going to let my family adjust to them for a few days, and then decide if we need to put a dimmer on them.Overall, I'm super happy with these. Especially at this price. I was getting very tired of replacing the halogen bulbs every 6-9 months.Edit 04/08/17: I just installed a dimmer switch ( Lutron DVCL-153P-WH Diva Dimmer for CFL, LED, Halogen, and Incandescent Dimmable Bulbs, White ), and they work perfectly. No buzzing or flickering at all. I'm very pleased with this product.

Post-quarantine revamped product has changed
About two years ago, I replaced all of my 2700K LED canister lights with a mix of 19W and 14W 3000K Hyperikon lights. I liked the "flat look" of the faces of these lamps when compared to any other manufacturer's lamps. That is, how pushed in the white diffuser lens is in comparison to the bezel face. And the 3000K color significantly improved the appearance of colors in the room. 2700K really messes up colors. You would not think there is much difference between 2700K and 3000K, but it is very obvious if you look at a white wall. It's "yellow vs. white," respectively!I got the lamps replaced and was quite happy with them. But now I'm going to change out the canisters in my living room. Currently there are 4 canisters up there. I want to get up in the attic and carve open two more holes in the ceiling so that I can have 6 canisters to brighten up the room. The 4 that are already there are the old 19W variety, which had a slightly different appearance than the old 14W Hyperikon lamps. That's okay, I'll just go order up another pair of the 19W lamps on Amazon."Not so fast there, bucky." Because you see, it appears that for whatever reason, Hyperikon isn't making the 19W lamps anymore. Their website says "We'll tell you when we have more of them in stock again," but it's been saying this for many months now. I think they are going to cease making them. Oh great, now what am I supposed to do? After some thought, I figured out a way to get around the issue. I have a hallway that is populated with a pair of 19W lamps. They could easily be downgraded to 14W lamps without changing the illumination in this seldom-used pathway. Thus, buy a pair of the 14W lamps now, pull the old 19W lamps out of the hallway canisters, put these new 14W lamps in their place, and there's your extra pair of 19W lamps for the living room. Perfect! When compared the new 14W lamps to the old 14W lamps, I could see that Hyperikon had completely redesigned the lamp. For starters, the old metal frame is now made of plastic. That really doesn't bother me, but some people might not like it. You can feel the weight of the old metal frame design (7.68 oz) is heavier than the new plastic frame design (5.16 oz). No big deal though. Just thought I would mention it.But for me, the disappointment was in the redesigned face. You can see it in the first picture that I have submitted, comparing old vs. new. The newer diffuser sits deeper than the old. This is important if you are buying the 14W lamps to replace an old Hyperikon 14W lamp where you want to match old with new — they don't match! For this, I subtracted one star. The height of the newer design is also a bit higher, although for any canister, this is not an issue. It's just different. One thing I do like about the new design is how you change the location of the little metal retainer springs for 5" or 6" canisters (third photo). You see the way the factory positions the adjustment for a 6" canister. Untighten the screw and move the spring to the right for a 5" canister. However, notice that you can also move the spring to the left a little bit. A 6.5" canister? Do they make such a thing? It turns out, yes they do! If you have some very early canisters, like my old 70s-era Halo canisters, the little "C-clips" in the can are NOT spaced 6" apart. No, they are something a bit wider, somewhere between 6.25" to 6.5". The way this new 14W Hyperikon adjustment works lets you retro fit these lamps into those old canisters. IT IS THE ONLY CANISTER LAMP I HAVE EVER SEEN THAT LETS YOU DO THIS!!! Take note if you have run into this issue with very old canisters. Using the 14W Hyperikon to fill these canisters is a lot easier than yanking the entire canister and replacing it with a newer, more modern Air-Tite canister, that's for sure! The wire adjustment can slightly adjust the width one way or the other, unlike almost all other manufacturers' lamps.LIght quality between old and new designs looks to be about the same in terms of color temperature, however the lumen difference between the old 19W and new 14W lamps is obvious. The 14W hallway is not as bright as it was with the 19W hallway. No surprise there, though.Bottom line, these are still excellent lights, but their style is different than the old ones they are supposed to replace.

NOTICE: IMPORTANT note about relocating the spring clip location. It took me a while and some frustration to figure out what the problem with the fit into a 6" can was until I noticed that the screw holding the bendable wire slide clips was a removable phillips head and not a rivet like the older version. YOU HAVE TO RELOCATE THE SLIDE CLIPS INTO PROVIDED 2ND HOLE to get them to fit properly into a 6" can. They come configured to fit into a 5" can. There was no mention about this whatsoever in the directions.I bought the older version late last year and they buzzed like crazy on a dimmer. Customer support was excellent and suggested I wait to get the new version and so I did and they just did an exchange this week at no cost to me and there is no noticeable buzz. Great product at a great price with great customer service and a 5yr warranty that they seem to stand behind.

very nice, accurate color temperature claim
i'll preface this by saying i'm a lighting nerd. i work with lighting as a career, on the manufacturer side.i ordered a four pack and then a single because the previous owner of my crib decided that it would be wise to have five 5" cans in the kitchen in an "x" pattern. anyway, originally, i ordered a four pack and single of the 4000k versions of these from Hyperikon.the single unit i received of that bunch was different than the rest. designed differently, looked different, etc. it buzzed, too. anyway, the color temperature did not appear to be 4000k at all. it appeared much closer to 5k. due to the mismatching, buzzing when dimmed and strangely cool color, i returned them.today i received these 3000k units and all five were uniform. they had the latest matte lens, very low profile lip trim, low profile back side, etc. so, i think these are the latest generation. the light color temperature is accurate. no buzzing when dimmed. the only beef i have is the quality of the trim. it's inconsistent. sometimes it appears "thin", so, it's not as white, but more of a gray. then there will be spots missing paint, etc. they just need to be a little more consistent with the QC. Eaton/Cooper Halo LED trims aren't perfect, but they seem to have a thicker coating with less defects. but, they are also almost always so much more expensive, so, there is that.i have a lot of Hyperikon stuff and am generally pleased. i will continue to buy their products.

Terrific!
Our original bezels on our pot lights had discoloured and we were looking to replace just those when I discovered these. We really liked the more modern look of the Hyperikon units and given that new bezels cost as much (or more) we decided to give these a try. Upon receiving them the first thing I noticed is the flange of these units are actually painted metal. That’s a definite plus and will be far more resilient to discolouring over time than typical plastic that is often used. A few units had slightly bent flanges that prevented a flush fit but rest easy knowing they were very easy to bend back straight. The only other issue and this will depend on your potlight cans is the foam seal for the flange. Our pot lights are retrofit cans so they have a flange that sits on the surface of the ceiling. This combined with the thickness of the foam seal caused the flange of the Hyperikon to have a noticeable gap between it and the ceiling. We simply removed the foam seal and that allowed the units to sit virtually flush with the ceiling for a much nicer appearance. Performance wise these lights are great. We already were using R30 LED floods and these were a far nicer colour of white (old were 2700K vs 3000K) and much brighter. We never needed to dim the old bulbs we had but these are certainly bright enough that you may want to dim them and they work great on our dimmers......very smooth and no buzzing noises. Colours also look much better in our kitchen now thanks to the excellent 90+ CRI rating compared to our old LED bulbs which I read were in the low 80’s.All in all very happy with these lights and would certainly buy them again

Super bright and easy to install
These LED lights are bright and easy to install! Both sides of the spring loaded hooks can be adjusted in/out for sizing. It only takes a few seconds and a small screw driver. I wound up only adjusting one side and they fit perfectly into the 5" cans in my ceiling. The springs are strong enough for them to sit flush against the ceiling without any gaps. One reviewer mentioned that they come with a metal frame. Ours are white plastic but they still look very good. The lights are bright enough that I can't look directly into them. They're also silent, no buzzing or any sort of electrical noise.

Will not fit 5" can
The light it self is great. Good colour and clean trim. However, these lights will not fit a 5 inch can. They are actually 5 3/8" wide at the bracket, just a fraction to big to fit the 5" can. Manufacturer mistake?Contacted by Hyperikon and informed that these should fit 5 inch cans. They sent me 4 lights to try again and they did fit the 5 inch can. Awesome customer service and a genuine commitment to product .Thanks Helder @ Hyperikon.

Lit lights
Fantastic value for money, easy to install, nice and bright, colour temperature is great. If you go to Home Depot a four pack of similar lights is going to be over $120, these are a no brainer.

Brilliant
I replaced 6, 75W halogen pot lights (5-inch can) with these and they look and operate beautifully. Brilliant design, brilliant light, brilliantly easy installation. Installation takes less than a minute. I just wish I had gone for 2700k because the 3000k soft while is a bit too white compared to the halogens, but not a big deal. They also work perfectly on the same dimmer used for my halogens.
