The first valve the gauge did not work. The second valve I found out if you tighten the gauge to much it closes the open preventing the gauge from operating.

Junk - Buyer Beware!
Rolled the dice on this valve, despite the numerous other negative reviews. Found the valve to be as pathetic as others have mentioned and for the same reason: threads are not pitched correctly and the product leaks regardless of the amount of tape or dope used. Wasted over an hour installing this valve and then another 1/2 hour removing it after failure.BUYER BEWARE: This product really need to be pulled from the market! Shame on this vendor.

Works
It seems to work fine and it has a built-in pressure valve. Time will tell how long it lasts

This is not NPT threads
The threads are not tapered like National Pipe Threads. I got them to be leak-free by using an excessive amount of teflon tape and tightening them very tight, like so tight that the pipe nipple bottomed out and sealed to the body of the regulator. It dripped slightly for several days before stopping. Does the unit work as well as the $100+ ones I have used in the past, time will tell.

Gauges do not work
This pressure reducing valve has an incredible price however the pressure gauges do not work which means you will have to leave the job site to go and purchase another gauge and return to install it. If your employees work for free and they are giving away pressure gauges than this might be a great deal for you. I would appreciate if they charged more money for something that works as you would expect it to. Sure you can return the product and get your money back but people are busy and time is money.

Leaky!
As with many other reviews, I had an impossible time getting the threads to stop water from squeezing past. Liberal amount of pipe dope didn't do the trick the first time round. I took the valve off and let the sealant dry out a bit, then a few days later, applied a little more and put the valve back in the line. I still have a few sweat leaks, I'm hoping they will mineralize. The valve itself does as intended, reduced 50 psi down to 25 for garden drip irrigation. It works on small, DIY, amateur scale projects. I'm not all that trusting that it won't pop off at some point. The threading is the weak point for me. As others have stated in reviews, the gage is inaccurate and leaks. Use it to set, then remove it.

Exactly what I needed
Had a problem with an outdoor sink piped with an undersink water heater. Problem solved. Pressure was reduced and no more leak from pressure valve.

It resolved my high water pressure problem
This was used on my outdoor kitchen sink. The existing pressure was so high that it caused the pop off valve on the under the sink water heater to leak out. .. After installing this reducer .. problem gone.A very inexpensive fix.
