This set is as stylish as a Parker pen should be and feels great to write with!

A classic design the pen set is visually appealing and makes a nice gift, the fountain pen writes smoothly and I found it not to be ‘scratchy’ when I tested it before gifting. The fountain pen comes with a refillable cartridge which is a bonus, the new type with a ball bearing in to prevent ink clogging. The only real critique would be the description of 18k gold nib, this implies a solid gold nib which Parker do make and use in some versions of the Sonnet range, this version is gold plated and should really be described as so. My purchase was from Amazon warehouse, a cartridge had been left in which had clogged up the pen, so it did require a good cleaning before use.

Bought to replace a Parker Duofold I sadly no longer use. By replacing the ballpoint with a gel refill, I've made it into a rollerball with a similar feel to a fountain pen but without the inconveniences of a fountain pen like the cap coming off in one's pocket. It's a mystery to me why Parker don't make rollerballs: their gel ink is perfect.

Perfect gift

I adore the fountain pen. It writes very smoothly and feels great to hold. Writing with it is a joy. The ballpoint pen feels similar to a standard biro. I suppose it is less likely to skip but I haven’t used it long enough to be able to tell yet
