Not at all the nightmare I was expecting from reviews.
This tablet has a lot of really negative reviews, but my experience has been 100% positive. I am a college student and use this computer to get my school work done. It does have some quirks but are easy enough to work around. The battery life has been great after the first charge. Computer came in great condition-- no scratches, scuffs or obvious signs of wear. It looked completely new out of package, the only thing that gave away that it was refurbished is that it doesn't come in original packaging or with a user manual. Office isn't offered free with the purchase of a refurbished Transformer T100, so if that is a huge factor in whether or not you buy this product, look elsewhere. I have heard people say that when the tablet goes to sleep, it has trouble waking up. I just turned off the sleep option entirely and when I am not using it, I just shut it down. No big deal because it boots up in mere seconds. Keyboard is a little weird at first, but very sturdy and once you get used to it, you don't even notice how small it is. It does match the 10.1" screen in size, so what can you expect?I love this computer and am so glad I took a chance on it, especially at this price. It is small, light (not too light, it's not flimsy) and other than being a fingerprint magnet, I have no complaints whatsoever. ( :

Not a great product, but nice to have handy on travel
It IS SLOOOOWW. I'm not sure what all the problem is, it could be the 1GB RAM may not be enough. I have to check if I can double that.. Anyway, this is a waste of money. My cell phone browses the web faster..I started writing this review about a month go. As I used it, I found out several features that are bizarre; Example: As I type, the touch pad interferes and the cursor jumps out of control. Usually, there is a simple "Disable touch pad while typing"feature, but this one does not have that. There is however a FUNCTION key that can disable/enable the touchpad, ,but that's crazy. You will be toggling this key hundreds of times as you write something. Also, without any basic Office products installed, this notebook is actually pretty useless. Its good for browsing, photos, music/video, but not for work. I used to use free office tools on Google, but you have to be connected to the internet for that.And,.., here's the BIG one: its now dead: WON"T POWER UP. I had to call the tech support and they suggested that I hold down the Power button for upto 1 minute; It powered up about 15 seconds later. So, the unit is up and running fine now.I don't know why the unit would not power up. but, its good to know it has a simple recovery feature.Just hold the power switch down for upto 1 minute.Better get a nice Laptop that is all solid state, about 16032GB Solid state Hard drive, 2-4 G RAM and Office 365 Pre-Installed for 1 Year. Best Buy has those deals. If you really need a huge hard drive, and just a conventional laptop, there are several on the stores now for under $300.If you need a 2 in 1, touch pad, Laptop, price gets up to the $1500 pretty quick.Overall, I would not buy this ASUS Transformer book. .WASTE OF MONEY and TIME

Defective Speaker
Yesterday, I received my laptop. I was relatively disappointed. I read many reviews stating that the asus transformer book was great & had amazing sound. Mine had a diffective speaker. The left speaker works well, but the right one doesn't function at all. Also, office was uninstalled. I was quite upset because that was half of the reason I purchased the transformer book. To purchase Microsoft office seperately is $109, over half the price of the laptop. In the future, the seller should try their best to accurately depict the state of their products. I would not suggest purchasing anything from this seller unless you are not concerned with quality.

Great Gadget vs. Technical Troubles
Broke down on me twice. While customer service has been very kind and the warranty covered both issues, I would prefer to not have to contantly send my PC's in for maintenance. Technical issues aside, it is a very interesting laptop/tablet (Tabtop? Laplet?) It is extraordinarily easy to connect to WiFi with this thing. I've even connected to my wireless printer without any setup as well. The tablet feature is very impressive and it was nice to have the option of reading books in bed through the Kindle app on Chrome with this. I would recommend it even though it didn't work out for me. Just be aware you may need to send it in for repairs. I ended up giving it to my cousin for Christmas and getting a desktop PC for myself.
