Oxford Picture Dictionary English-Japanese: Bilingual Dictionary for Japanese speaking teenage and adult students of English (Oxford Picture Dictionary 2E)

As others have mentioned, unless you know kanji, you won't be able to follow much of this book. And if you do know kanji, you probably don't need it. Had they gone the extra step and added romanji and hiragana, this would have been excellent. It probably is for Japanese who want to learn English. So, for English speakers, this is 1 star. For Japanese speakers, 5 stars.

I really like this book. It may not be 100% accurate, but it allows for very efficient ESL vocabulary building. Of course it's important to try to use the all English version, but I have a student who came all the way to the US from Tokyo for just 25 days. He is doing over 60 hours of ESL in that time and needs to maximize results, so this OPD version is great! I do, however, think this needs some updating on the tech side, i.e. smartphones, iTunes, WiFi and other IT. I hope Oxford is going to come out with a new version: [...]

The Japanese student and their English speaking family members were delighted with the dictionary. It opened up lines of communication and stimulated smiles rather than frustrated frowns. It was more helpful than an electronic handheld translator due to the pictures and colors. Thank you!

Using this as a text and reference in ESL classes studying American English and American Culture. Repeatedly ordered in many languages combined with English. Well organized and broad subject base.

This book has great illustrations for everyday English topics related to school, food, shopping, etc. I wish they had one specifically for the manufacturing industry.

I have used the OPD with students for years. To me it is the best picture dictionary on the market!

Good for Japanese who is learning English. It has so many words that I even don't know how to say in Japanese. I recommend to buy not paper one but kindle since its much cheaper

内容は文句なし。ペーパーホワイトなど白黒のキンドル端末では利用できません（KindleFireは可能）。購入してから気づきました。全編カラーですので割り切って、タブレットで読むことをお勧めします。

英語を勉強するにはなんたって単語力。イラストが中心のこのピクチャーディクショナリーは英語と日本語が併記されていてページをめくり、読み流しながら頭に上書きしていく記憶法に最適です。勉強ではなく、マガジンの絵を見ているようなつもりで使います。目で見て、スペル見て、日本語も見て暇なときにページをめくり自然と単語力があがります。一家に一冊、本当に大好きな本です。
