AKDY 24" Under Cabinet Stainless Steel Push Panel Kitchen Range Hood Cooking Fan w/Carbon Filters

This is a real nice looking hood but I have several complaints though. The unit is is like 23 3/8" wide so you get a fairly significant gap on either side. If it was 23 3/4" that would make more sense for a 24" cabinet install. The screw holes on the front side are very close to the front edge of a 12" upper cabinet. They should have set these front holes back about an inch. The bulb it came with is an incandescent candelabra bulb. Why didn't they use a standard socket? There were no punch outs on the back side to get the wiring through into the unit. I had to drill my own hole. Most significantly is that the wire inside was too short to reach to the other side of the cabinet where my wall wiring was coming in of course. I had to make two splices inside the hood because the wall wiring was very short as well. I couldn't believe they made the wire in the unit so short.

Very nice hood! You better be pretty handy if you plan to install this hood yourself. First off, throw the manual away, its totally useless. The quantity and type of screws that come with it do not match what the manual says. They also will just fall through the mounting hole so I had to supply my own screws. The electrical knockout and exhaust opening was a bitch to remove and I had to trim the damper so it would not bind. Once the hood was installed, however, it did perform well but I agree with other reviews that the air flow seems to be a little weak.

This is a really good hood compared to the big box $125 units. Arrived in great condition. Installation was straight forward. It is reasonably quiet. It is not a professional unit, but it is adequate for an electric cook top. I am switching to LED lamps, though.

The installation instructions were reasonably poor. If I didn't know what I was doing (mostly) and I wasn't just replacing a similar unit, it would have been a difficult install for sure.The quality of the buttons isn't amazing, feels like I might dislodge them any day now. It isn't super quiet, but it is much cheaper for the look and function than others at this level. I am happy with the purchase overall.

This works ok, though less powerfully than the older one I had but it's sleeker. One year later, it hasn't scratched and is fairly easy to clean, but the buttons have gotten misaligned, making first the light impossible to depress, and now, a couple weeks later, the exhaust fans impossible to use. It's cheap, and I knew that going in but had planned a remodel, but I would not recommend.

this a nice stainless steel range hood. the fan noise is about 1/2 the sound of my 18 year old one. the filter screens are also 100% of the opening. The box arrived undamaged and it was packed well in a hard foam type. I would have gave it 5 stars but one corner was damaged. Lucky it was in the back and nor noticeable.

Installed for about 3 months now and I am very pleased with my purchase. The vent works well and the light is just bright enough. Not the quietest fan I've ever heard but it's fine with me.
