I always wanted one of these for blender jar
I always thought one of these would be so great for a blender jar (using a wand blender) and I was right. Wider at the bottom than the plastic ones that have come with some of my blenders, it is really easy to instantly clean, also to scoop food out, and put in the fridge knowing plastic won't leach into the foods. If it came with a lid at no extra cost, I'd probably have a number of these, as I blend a lot of my foods - it would be so convenient. But I didn't find that. And this is a perfect size for blending, so I'm not going to look at other sizes.I did consider if it would also be appropriate to use stovetop inside a pan of boiling water, to keep one food separate from another, or apply gentle heat, but it is NOT suitable for this use. The flat bottom means bubbles from the bottom of the pan can form under it and topple it over. Fortunately, I bought something else that I saw when looking at the marie bain pots - rounded on the bottom and with wires and handle allowing it to be placed on the rim of the pot on the stove and it fits this job perfectly. The Marie Bain pot is great for blending and then straight to serving or putting in the fridge.

No more spoon rests
I got this to replace the gross spoon rest that always rested on my counter. It's a perfect place to store tools while cooking.

Great product that is unfortunatelyu misrepresented
Excellent quality, Perfect for immersion (stick) blending and for cooking utensils (storage or during the cooking process instead of a spoon rest), BUT why does the item received NOT have a rolled edge as in the photo? Shouldn’t the item received coincide precisely with the photo??? Furthermore, the listed product dimensions and the about this item dimensions differ (i.e. conflict). Is the diameter 4.65” or 4.125”??? Pick one!!! Is the height 5.83” or 4.75”??? Again, pick one!!! Shouldn’t the manufacturer/seller describe their product offered for sale accurately. Browne Foodservice, surely you can do better!!

MEASURE !! This is a bit large.
This is a bit larger than I expected, even after considering the measurements before I bought it. Actually, I bought three of these. I used them to make steamed Boston Brown Bread. Typically a food can is used, like "ma" used to make, but lots of things done back then wasn't as safe as we thought. I figured this stainless steel cylindrical pan would be the safest bet.It worked great ! It has a really nice lip at the top which was grand for securing foil over the top with string the first time and then a rubber band the second time, both working well. The bread slid out beautifully as the sides are smooth giving the bread even sides. The sliced bread is of generous size which brought no complaints at all.

More useful than I would have thought.
A quality stainless steel, tall, straight-sided bowl suitable for use as a Bain Marie. Also useful for making mayo and other non cooked dressings and sauces with an immersion blender. Also useful for storing frequently used spoons, spatulas, tongs and ladles on the counter. Also useful for cleaning immersion blenders by half filling with hot water and a drop or two of detergent; immerse the blender and turn it on.Get two, you’ll use them.

Perfect for making Boston Brown Bread
I ordered two of these for steaming Boston Brown Bread in a water bath, instead of using the traditional coffee cans (which can get rusty). I wish I could find lids for them but aluminum foil works, too. They are really well made, the perfect size and the bread slips right out of them when done.
