Great scope, it is very clear, bright and has all the adjustments you'll need. A value at more than twice the price.
This scope is a great value and high quality performer. The adjustments are fine and easy to use and they lock down so that they stay put. The parallax adjustment is a great feature and every scope should have one.The finish is top grade and the scope looks like it should cost much more. The clarity is very good and during dusk hours, it is bright. There is an adjustment for the reticle focus so if it appears a bit fuzzy out of the box, simply adjust it and you can get it crystal clear.I wish I had bought the large parallax adjuster wheel because it would make using that feature very easy. As it is, it isn't difficult but when ranging it would be far easier to just reach up and spin the larger wheel. The mounts provided are good, nothing special but you can remove the scope and put it back on and it retains zero so no complaints there. The lighted reticle is very nice. One thing about it though, when you put in the battery it is a very tight fit and you're not sure if you should use only one battery or both which are provided. Use only one battery and you'll have to really fiddle with it to get the battery in and be able to screw on the cap. Once done though, it works perfectly. You do not need to use the battery operated lighting feature, the sharp black mil dot reticle works without it.Being a compact scope, you aren't going to get the light gathering capabilities of a Ziess or something like that but you can't beat the price, quality/value and features for even close to what you pay for this one.

Awesome scope for the price!
This is a great scope, not enough good things can be said about it! I own several Leapers/UTG products now and all of them exceed my expectations.First, this thing is a beast even though it is the "compact" version. It is large, heavy, and seems to be built to last; you could probably hit somebody over the head with this thing and it would be just fine. If you're looking for a small, dainty scope this is not for you! Image quality is brighter and clearer than expected. Sure if you spend $800 on a scope you will see a difference but I think this scope performs far better than its price point. The adjustment knobs are nice and chunky and easy to use; the zero locking rings and the zero resetting feature are both awesome! The parallax adjustment/focus knob is really nice and fairly unusual at this price; I tried it with both eyes at several distances and it worked very well. The multi-color illuminated reticle is easy to use and works as well as any I've ever used (except for something like a fiber optic ACOG of course). I probably won't use the illuminated reticle much but it's nice to have in case a low light situation presents itself.I also tested the range estimating ability by using the mil-dots and it works like a charm. As long as you know the length or width of your target you can calculate the distance to the target pretty darn accurately. You can download a mil-dot ranging chart of the Leapers website and print it, or keep a calculator with you and just do the math.Basically I would say this is the best scope for the money I've ever seen...

Great scope for the money!
I bought this scope after reading all the good reviews and I'm glad I did. Comes with a nice set of scope mounts and it fit perfectly on my DPMS AR15. I used a laser bore sight and had it on paper at 50 yards on the first shot and bulls eye within 8 shots. I then reset the dials to ZERO and headed out to 100 yards. It took a couple more clicks but I was able to shoot bullseye pretty easily using the 12x magnification. I plan to shoot out to 200 and 300 yards next week and will post an update if I run into any problems. The glass was pretty clear from 3-12x with no problems at the higher magnification. The eye relief is rather short but I did not mind at all and felt very comfortable. All the colors on the reticle are nice but honestly I turned off and just used the black. So with all the good why only 4 stars? This is one HEAVY scope! I mean it twice as heavy as any scope I own (maybe more). I'm going to mostly use it at the range so its no problem for me, but it might be problem for others. If you can deal with the weight then its a great buy.
