WoodwayPyramid Post Cap, fits 5.5" Post, in Premium Cedar, 1PC

I purchased 11 of these Cedar Post caps for my Deck Railing Posts. Prior to installation they were treated inside and out with a good quality Oil based weather protective treatment. In less than one year...8 of the 11 purchased have split in the middle, at the point of joinery. See attached photo. The separation will allow water to infiltrate the assembly and rot will ensue! It's long past Amazon's return window, so my next step will be to contact the manufacturer for product support. The product is designed for exterior use and it was treated as recommended it would seem reasonable to expect longer life! Hopefully they will provide a recourse or I'm out $257.00 as well as, replacement costs!

Beautifully carved and excellent wood quality. Was able to paint them immediately upon receipt.
